RE: Removing the Inside of an Egg
We used a simple safety pin un-bent and poked tiny holes in either side. Then we stuck a larger safety pin, un-bent inside to break the yoke. Bought an infant nasal aspirator at Walmart for $2 and used it to blow the contents out. That way there were no germs on the eggs, so we could use them for cooking, and no possiblity of salmonella by using our mouths on raw eggs. We then put the shells in boiling water for a minute to steralize them before decorating. If you do not want the tiny holes to show, they can be covered with decorations or with a spot of glue. ... RE: Buying a Used Sectional Couch
I was going to suggest Freecycle, too. You can also try the classified ads of your local paper. Most list them online these days. Good luck. ... View related article.

RE: Small, White Bug Bites
Could be hives, too. If he is typically bare-footed and the hands and feet are exposed, he could be allergic to something that is in contact with the skin. Otherwise, maybe fleas. You do not have to have pets to have fleas in your home. They can be transmitted by humans into the house. If he is really itchy, try an oatmeal bath or give him some Benadryl or other childrens' antihystimine. I have 6 kids and trust me, we have been through everything! ... View related article.

RE: Dryer Lint for Bird Nests
It is safe. I use the plastic onion sacks and put dryer lint, snake skins (we have reptile pets), dog fur, yarn, etc. in them and hang from trees for the birds in our area. We use softner sheets in our dryer, but they do not affect the birds per our state DEM website. ... View related article.

RE: Internet Working Even Though I am Not Signed Up for Service
I too get internet service in the boonies without having any paid service. I get a wi-fi signal. Click on your Windows icon in the bottom left corner of your screen and check the "Connect to" link. It will show you how you are connected. Be sure to go into the Network and Sharing Center to block others from gaining access to your computer for your own protection. This will not prevent you from having access to the internet, but will stop others from being able to see your files, setting, etc. ... View related article.

RE: Small Pie Crusts
I am confused. You previously posted that you want to market your pies commercially, but you don't even make your own crust? I would learn how pretty quickly if you really do want to sell them. You cannot sell products as your own if they have store bought crusts. ... View related article.

RE: Paying a Cleaning Person
It depends on where you live. Some parts of the country are a lot higher than others. It also depends on the age/ skill level of the person you are hiring. If you are looking for a bonded, insured cleaner you can expect to pay at least $20-30 per hour in the New England area. If you are going to hire a college student, high schooler or just someone who is looking to make a few extra bucks under the table, you will expect to pay $10-$15 per hour depending on where you live, again. Also, the more experienced cleaners will obviously get it done quicker and probably more thoroughly, so take that into consideration when deciding on which to choose. Alternatively, if you are going to keep the tasks the same each week, I would meet with potential cleaners and decide on a flat weekly pay rate. ... View related article.

RE: Redecorating My Boyfriend's Bedroom
They sell lots of "removable" wall papers or borders now. If you are going to paint, try the Ooops! racks at home improvement or box stores, before buying at full price. They always have paint that was not what the requestor expected that is marked down by either a percentage or flat amount of say $5 per gallon. You could paint in a neutral color, like beige or gray and then use a removable border around the room at chair height or at the ceiling. Use a earthy theme to keep it manly. You can then find a coordinating fabric to provide curtians and bedding. To keep it less expensive and more versitile, try a solid comforter with a couple printed throw pillows and matching curtain/swag. Try a thrift store or tag sale for a few wall hangings, a lampshade, etc. or wire a lamp yourself from a thifty find. ... View related article.
