RE: Saving Magazine Articles
I like to save helpful hints, websites I want to check out, recipes, craft ideas etc and I have a few regular folders that I keep them in. I try to go through them regularly so they don't get too full. Recipes or craft ideas I decide to keep eventually goes in a binder for recipes or another I have for crafts, Helpful hints will go into my Helpful hint notebook, websites will be checked out and put in my Favorites if they prove to be good ones. ... RE: Nest Items To Fit Into Trash Better
I just wish to clarify my tip that has been posted here. I live in a rural area that not only has little population but also many of the familes here are Amish and we do not have a recycling system. However, I do recycle as much as I can before tossing anything in the trash. I use frozen vegetables as opposed to canned to help too. Boxes, jars and other items are used for a varied amount of uses before disposing of but after awhile you can only have so many extras on hand. I have limited space in my apartment, hence, I have to toss them eventually. Thanks, Diane ... View related article.

RE: Quick Dessert That Feeds 30 People For Under $10
For well under 10 dollars, you can get two box cake mixes and two containers of frosting. This time of year especially there are sales on the name brand ones. They taste pretty good. I would make two cakes, maybe one yellow and one chocolate. You will have plenty of dessert that way and have change left over. ... View related article.

RE: Recipes Using Fennel
We use fennel that comes in a jar in the spice section of a supermarket as a tea. Use a teaspoon of it per cup. It has a mild sweet licorice flavor and it is good for colic, indigestion, bloat, gas, and stomache and is a natural relaxant. You don't have to be sick to use it. The taste is pleasant. Several generations of our family have even used it for our babies. My daughter loved it. ... View related article.

RE: Uses for Shower Curtain Rings
Put one on the end of your shower rack for your shower cap.

For the working lady, put one on the hanger that you have the outfit you are going to wear and use it for the jewelry, scarf, etc. that you are going to wear with it to save you time in the morning putting an outfit together. Same idea can be used for the school kids. Put one on their hanger holding the outfit they are going to wear and use one for their socks, underwear etc.

Use them to keep the mates of socks together after they are laundered. Just stick the socks through the hole.

Use them on your clothesline to dry scarves, pantihose, etc. without that "clothespin" mark.

RE: Arthritic Fingers
I have arthritis too. A friend sent me a bottle of cod liver oil capsules and told me to take 3 a day for awhile and see if it helped. Her mother used them and they worked for her. So I did. While the pain isn't completely gone, it has helped a great deal and it has made such a difference. They are inexpensive too. Give them a try! ... View related article.

RE: Stop the Postage Hike
These are all good ideas and many that I use. I also save postage by making payments over the phone to some of my bills. I can pay all my insurances and cable tv among others.
All the ways mentioned save postage but they also save the time and expense of writing checks and also the gas if you have to make trips to the post office when you mail your bills or to get stamps or go in person to pay them. ... View related article.
