RE: Honey Bun Cake
Ooooh, what a cake! I went ahead and added pecans to the recipe, as suggested. It's wonderful. My daughter and I had some as soon as it came out of the oven, and delivered pieces to my mom and grandmother who live nearby. Glowing report from Grandmother; she was standing on the front porch eating hers in bliss as we drove away.Haven't heard from Mom yet but she'll probably scold me for ruining her diet! ... RE: Recipe for Robert Redford Cake
Here is one I've had for many years, called
The Next Best Thing to Robert Redford

crust:
Mix and press into oblong pan:
1 cup flour
2 Tbs sugar
1 stick melted butter
Then sprinkle 1/2 cup chopped nuts over crust and press into dough. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees (burns easily), then cool
1st layer:
Mix and spread on crust:
1 8 oz pkg cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1/2 lb cool whip
Allow this to set up and proceed to layer 2
2nd layer:
Mix 1 box vanilla instant pudding with 2 cups milk. Spread this over cream cheese layer and allow to set up. Proceed to layer 3.
3rd layer:
Same as layer 2, using chocolate pudding, let set up. Then spread rest of cool whip on top and sprinkle shaved chocolate or coconut on top.

I think this recipe is also called "Pastor's Delight." ... View related article.
