| RE: Attaching Pieces of a Tea Set to Tile |
|
I've done a little mosaic work, and I know that clear epoxy resin for casting is available at most arts and craft stores. That stuff is really strong (and clear), and should hold your crafts in place. Just make sure to seal the paint and follow directions on the epoxy resin. If you don't have access to an arts and crafts store, a building supply store should have something like 2-part epoxy glue. Get the clear kind and follow directions - that stuff is strong! Good luck! ... View related article. |

| RE: Suggestions For Dealing With Sleep Apnea |
|
I've been in healthcare for over 15 years. I can definitely tell you that something isn't quite right. While losing weight helps, you need a solution immediately. First thing to do is call your doctor. They may need to adjust the pressure, which is what it sounds like - never do this yourself!! If needed, they can do another sleep study for you. If your CPAP is being rented from an oxygen company, call them to come over to your home to check the machine. You can also call your doctor's office and ask for a prescription for a humidifier if you don't already have one. Best of luck to you - I'll be thinking of you, hoping you feel better real soon. ... | RE: Getting Back Into Nursing Job After a Long Absence |
|
Wow - I know what you mean! I was an LPN and out of the field for just over 3 years. Nobody wanted to take the chance on me. I went ahead and applied with an assisted living, which gave the opportunity to practice a bit of skills and get re-familiarized with the routines, labs, med passes, etc. I then went to long term care. A home health company may be of great value to you - fewer patients, and willing nurses to shadow for a bit. Best of luck to you! ... View related article. |

| RE: Product Review: Ped Egg |
I tried it, too. You have to make sure there is no moisture on your feet and do a little at a time. If you are impatient like I am (wink, wink), you will end up with sore skin from overuse. This thing works!! If you get a good lotion for afterwards, you won't spend a penny on pedicures or foot treatments any more!! ... View related article. |

| RE: Pressure Cooker Vs. Crock Pot |
|
I saw your post and wanted to caution you. I was a paramedic for almost 10 years, and have seen what a faulty pressure gauge will do. I've been on many calls where people received 2nd degree burns all over their chest, face, arms, etc. after removing the lid of a pressure cooker. The pressure gauge is supposed to tell you when it's safe to open the lid, but most of the accidents I've seen were caused by pressure cookers bought at yard sales. Please be careful and register for recalls just in case. ... View related article. |

| RE: Getting Rid Of Weeds In Flower Beds |
I tried boiling water some time back, and it definitely works, but there's a problem. You'll kill the earthworms!
Last year, I got pieces of cardboard wet (soak them with water), and cover the weeds with them. Make sure the weeds aren't exposed to sunlight. This year, my garden is almost weed-free! I have lots of earthworms, too, and the soil has improved a million times over! ... View related article. |

| RE: Dog Is Afraid Of People After Being Hit By Car |
|
I am not a dog trainer, but have always been very good with animals. I have to agree with the answer that Oberhund posted. This may seem outside of your way of treating your dog, as most of our pets are family. Remember that dogs are different from humans and in order to help them gain confidence, we have to adjust our behavior and way of acting. I'm so sorry that you had this misfortune, and I wish you the best of luck! ... View related article. |

| RE: Big "Ball" Shaped Lollipop Molds |
|
You might have found a mold by now, but I just read your post. I usually buy a mold making kit from Hobby Lobby (make sure it's labeled as being safe for food use). They are great for any kind of mold! You just need to find an object that matches the shape you want, then easily make the mold for it with the kit. I hope it helps! ... View related article. |
