Why do you think you have to pay for something that is built in to all windows systems, IE is nothing but a portal to access the net, great for setting up a new computer, but you really should look at getting a freeware setup,
ie either google chrome, firefox, opera, just try typing anyone of those in to google and see what pops up,
I hate the fact that anyone should have to pay for basic software, ie antivirus, browser, email. look and its there for the taking, and they are good might not be what your used to be but a change is as good as a holiday they reckon.
My thoughts exactly puppermum, if your computer, is asking you to back up i would be making copies of all my important stuff, and then reformatting my computer, if you don't know how ask a friend or some one to help you with it. you have spyware, and it can get really nasty.
Keep posting here and I am sure some one will be able to help you out.
Just started looking at this my self, photos are easy just a run of the mill scanner will do the job, but in the case of slides you need more upmarket variety, haven't done a lot of research yet but hoping that getting the slides developed isn't the only option, will take me the rest of my natural life to be able to afford to do them all. LOL
Will be looking forward to many responses to help us both. Good luck with it. Kerry ... View related article.
Have you ever frozen any of it? I have been offered boxes of veges and apart from the normal, have run out of ideas what to do with them and this would be great. We use heaps of the rotten tin stuff. ... View related article.
I have one very large dog and one very small dog and 2 guinea pigs and 5 chickens and believe me there ain't nothing wasted around our house, what the dogs don't eat the guinea pigs do and the chickens don't really care they eat, they are really garbage disposals, and each of my dogs get a vet check each year and he is amazed at how well they do on no name dry food and 1 small can of dog food, and scraps, dogs are not stupid they will not eat anything that will upset them or mine haven't yet. so save your money and not be conned into buying very expensive dog dinners, unless you can afford it, and if you can why are you visiting a website like thrifty times?
LOl just read the post above mine, now racking my brain where I could fit a pig.
Mayonnaise, Preferably a cheap home brand type mayo in the jar. Grab a good handful and smooth it over the kids hair, if they have long hair right to the ends. and pile on top of their head, pop on a shower cap and leave for as long as possible or overnight.
Next morning rinse hair with warm water and watch the little critters slide away. Leaves my daughters hair soft and silky, and also kills the eggs, run through with a nit comb and you are good to go. Added bonus it is also great for your hands and nails. Long live good old mayo.
Do the oil trick and don't wash your pan in soapy water ever, removes the coating that you have built up over time and then you get rust.
had the same cast iron frying pan for (OH MY GOSH) 30 years and never had to do more than wipe it out with paper towels, or at one time in the middle of no where, grass, still came up good as new.
Is she like that on weekends when she has no school, if not may be worth talking to her teachers and finding out if she is being bullied or upset at school for some reason. My eldest son went for 6 months, dragging his butt off a morning, and we almost went crazy, turned out he was being bullied by a much younger child and he was embarrassed to tell us. ... Ok, not so much a list of chores for a nine year old but the way that we do it. My kids a 9 yr old and 7 yr old twins (girl/boy), have to keep their own space tidy, take off their sheets and do various and many things as my husband is a truck driver and is away for many nights at a time. I cannot do everything and we all do it together, cooking cleaning sorting folding, etc etc. I take care of 80% of things but they help out and they get paid by the job as it were.
Empty the dishwasher (and mind you I had to rearrange my kitchen so my plates didn't up as mosaic samples) 50c
Feed the dogs 50c
A really large cheap piece of tin that we painted and decorated and then wrote all the chores that need to be done on a daily, weekly, etc. schedule, a couple of whiteboard markers and all chores are done. Homework and playtime outside (not watching tv playing computer) also is worth a little bit each day.
They are so proud of themselves on a Saturday morning when we add up all the jobs and the side benefit is that their math is improving out of sight.
We have added a wish list to the bottom of the job board and have worked out how many jobs they have to do to be able to buy that game that they have to have.
Don't worry mum has a wish list too and I have to add my chores to the list everyday too and amend my wish list each week, the best part of all this is that they encourage each other to get that special thing and enjoy watching the job "quota" lessen each week.
Oh and they save 10% into the bank of mum, who then places it their real bank.
This works for us and only because of all the helpful hints, advice, etc. that I gather from the numerous wonderful people who inhabit this wonderful site. Cheers Kerry from Adelaide ... View related article.
