I just went through a nightmare! I made 4 different batches using different pectins. I then found out that because I was using juice that was my problem. Apples only have natural pectin in the core and peels, and so using juice makes it difficult to get it to jell properly. Adding lemon juice helps. I have yet another batch that I plan to experiment with tomorrow.
I will never attempt jelly from juice again, Its always best to cook apples (core and all) down and use the juice from that. ... View related article. |

a scouring agent called Zud, like Comet, but different properties will clean most items.
Brenda! Im sold on Zud! I got some and went to work on the bowl and its now just a sparkle! My friend came by and saw what Id done and was in total shock and went to buy some for herself! I think you deserve not only a kudos, but some shares in that stock..lol

ah paper towels and letting them soak sounds good! oops, never thought about the coffee maker! but its black..lol...I should have guessed there would be an issue when I looked into the washing machine that came with the house and the white interior is tinted orange!...lol..this is going to be more work that I know! gotta fix the hard water! ... N'awe thanks for the blessing! I surely need it! This is all new to me.
Now I do have one issue I have heard of Zud, but isnt that abrasive? See the previous owners installed a bathtub that is plastic and Im afraid that will scrape it. I can however use it on everything else as the rest of the house is porcelain. Im also finding that my skin is dryer than it once was. I was used to spring water and thats so nice.
responding to the filtration system I kind of wanted to go to the level of not having to maintain it. There are some that although expensive they dont need the monthly injections or as such. Im hoping the IRS rebate will be very kind! hehe...I have high hopes dont I!!! ... View related article. |

I worked for two years at a major grocery store. I can tell you now that scanning your card first is a should do. now, most of the discounts will come off at the end, but there is a chance to loose some too! Its all to do with the person at the computer. if you have a responsible (which is hard to find today) person that is constantly keeping up with the programming of sales and such, then you wouldnt have any problems, but your relying on one to three people to take each product in the store, typing in the codes, and typing in the prices, for them to scan the correct price, and with prices changing either daily or weekly, there will be an issue with the price. you should always know the price of what your buying and watch the scan price, and stop the cashier if you feel uncomfortable with whats scanned. I know that will make an issue with not only the cashier,(not if it were me!) and the other customers, but just realize that no one else cares about the money you are loosing out on, so you are just going to have to stand firm and get the price you are promised!
