hiya! just got into knitting and crochet. have one grown up daughter, one teenage son both drive me crazy and i love them to bits. life is a rollercoaster, lurching from one thing to another trying to fit in as much as i can into 24hours. its hectic, EXPENSIVE WITH MY KIDS, and lots of tears, fun and laughter. im single and i love it! dont want to be any other way again. gone down that road for 22years and i wont be going there again FOR SURE! love making things out of stuff that i no longer use. such a sense of satisfaction when i make sumthing from nothing! tried rag rugs and they were great to do since ive only started to crochet. quick and easy. now i want sumthing easy but a bit more challenging. dont have much time in my busy life and i like things that give INSTANT (more or less) results!
I live in europe but I prefer using u.s. recipes when Ibake. u.s. cornstarch is cornflour. I'm assuming the American version of cornflour is our version of cornmeal or polenta (just the continental way of saying it). By the way, u.s. baking soda is our bicarbonate of soda. it is not baking powder. ... View related article.
I had norton on my laptop and it was a pain. The best way to uninstall it is to go to their website and uninstall from there. Also, webby here on this site has a link that helps you to uninstall Norton, if I'm not mistaken. ... View related article.
One thing I've learned is that if its possible, always keep your cool and the childish unattractive behavior will always be from her and not from you. so you will be the one that always looks good. Why don't you ask - with your husband present - what your mil wants to do? If its unreasonable, then its up to your husband to sort out his mum. If she can come up with a good idea, then go for it. You could always spend thanksgiving with your mil and mention that it would be only fair that Christmas will be with your mum but she is welcome if she want s to join you, but discuss all this with your husband first before hand and see if he is ok with it. Just my humble opinion. ... View related article.
I don't know how it is in your country, but where I live, silver jewelery is very reasonable in price. Just tiny things like a charm or thin bracelet or perhaps a thin chain. These things a very small and travel well. ... View related article.
What great ideas! I knew I could count on all of you at thriftyfun. I still have a couple of weeks of grace before I get started, so please, if you have any more ideas, they will be very welcome. I'm thinking i could even mix and match ideas such as the fresh melon boats with another salad or making tarts with a side salad, etc.the more ideas I get, the better! Thank you all so much! ... Looks like a great recipe. I shop once a month to keep to a budget, which works great for everything else except the cereal which always runs out before then, and I refuse to buy any more than i usually do.so this will be great to tide my kids over till its time to go shopping again. porridge oats are cheap compared with cereal so i will just get a tin of that instead of a box of cereal since I usually buy about 8boxes of cereal. I usually have the other items on hand anyway. ... View related article.
Why go to the trouble of heating up the oven? Soon as I take anything out of the oven that needs hand washing, I put my cake or cookies or whatever on the cooling rack, wash the pan, and put it in the cooling oven to dry. No need for wasting fuel. Also, if you leave the oven door ajar while the oven is cooling, it will act as extra heating to warm up your kitchen without using radiators, etc. ... View related article.
Thank you so much for all your suggestions! Yes, I can get dark chocolate bars here and I will use them (either Cadbury's or Nestles, both are available here) instead of the milk chocolate I was using unsuccessfully. Coupons are not used here, unfortunately. Sandra's idea seems the best way to go. But grating coarsely would be a good idea to try, too. At least I can try making my own chocolate chip cookies now. Thank you to all of you again! ... View related article.
Thanks for the suggestions but I still have the problem that I don't live in the US and Hershey bars do not exist in my country. I used a normal cadbury chocolate bar and it wasn't successfully smashed - probably it's too thick, or perhaps milk chocolate isn't the best idea. Should I be using plain chocolate? I think in the US you call it semisweet or dark chocolate. I'm not really sure. Help, please? ... View related article.
