I agree with you. It almost pays to buy a new printer than the ink! A friend bought a printer after he compared the price of the ink. Right off I can't tell you the manufacturer of the printer.
Most people use black ink and it's a shame that you have to replace the colors in order to have the printer work. I tried removing used-up cart. and then replacing to fool the printer into thinking it was a new one. It didn't work on this Epson I have, but it did on the old one I had. I just noticed yesterday when I purchased a widely advertised margarine that comes in 2 8 oz. cups that the cups are now 7.5 oz. each.
