RE: Give Savings Bonds for Christmas
I believe interest is only one percent now. I purchased them in the past for gifts but you would be better to open a CD or Money Market account and get a little more interest. ... View related article.

RE: Use Soup Bases Instead of Bouillon
I found (through experience) that "Better Than Bouillon" is the best. They make low salt chicken and it is good. Hard to find though, only one supermarket chain carries it in my location. It is not near to me so I buy 3 or 4 at a time. ... View related article.

RE: Printers That Are Inexpensive to Use
I agree with you. It almost pays to buy a new printer than the ink! A friend bought a printer after he compared the price of the ink. Right off I can't tell you the manufacturer of the printer.

Most people use black ink and it's a shame that you have to replace the colors in order to have the printer work. I tried removing used-up cart. and then replacing to fool the printer into thinking it was a new one. It didn't work on this Epson I have, but it did on the old one I had. Try it, nothing to loose but your time. ... View related article.

RE: Include Package Size When Posting Recipes
Yes it is important to list the size of packages. Did you ever notice in old cookbooks from churches and organizations usually only state 1 package or whatever. Package sizes change and the recipe might not come out right--especially if you are not an experienced cook. ... View related article.

RE: Pay Attention to Package Sizes When Grocery Shopping
I just noticed yesterday when I purchased a widely advertised margarine that comes in 2 8 oz. cups that the cups are now 7.5 oz. each. In fact the manufacturer used the same cardboard sleeve which had 16 oz. printed on it and pasted a sticker showing 15 oz. I think I'll give them a call. We consumers were not born yesterday. And the price is not lower--in fact it is higher. ... View related article.

RE: Printers That Are Inexpensive to Use
Printer manufacturing companies should not be allowed to make printers that you can't use when one of the colors is out. Isn't it strange that the cost of a new printer is less than two sets of 4 colors of cartridges? It's a rip off. Who can we complain to? ... View related article.

RE: Raising Money for a School Trip
A relative "hit me up" for a donation for a trip. I gave, got a thank you note and haven't heard from the person since. I probably won't do for anyone again.
