RE: Cat Stopped Using Litter Box
I am not sure what to tell you if the new kitty insists on using both litter boxes. I have 4 cats & they do share 2 litter boxes changed daily. Maybe the older cat has a medical condition causing this. MY cat Flamey who is about 3 just stopped using the litter box and after a few days, I would hear him crying and growling when he was peeing. I took him in to the vet and he has a UTI and this can turn into a bigger issue if left untreated. It could end up requiring expensive surgery. The cat was given an injection and pills to take daily. Good luck figuring your problem out.

RE: Relieving Itching for Dogs
The itching could be caused by a flea allergy. My cat Skooter has a horrible flea allergy and was always scratching himself until I got him on Advantage Flea Preventive. Advantage is sold for dogs too. As a matter of fact, 1 tube of Advantage for dogs, a blue box, can be divided into 10 .4 ml. doses for cats for huge savings and this is what I do for my cats.

I have given dogs a tablespoon of veggie oil daily to help prevent dry skin and it has worked.

If the itching is bad, the vet should be able to give the dog(s) a shot to stop the itching.

RE: Rotten Egg Smell in House
I do believe I have heard that natural gas has an ingredient added that smells like rotten eggs. This is added because natural gas has no smell. You may want to call the gas company and ask them about the smell and see what they say.

RE: Storing Food in a Winterized House
I would not leave the food, it will draw rodents. I grew up in Westland 2 blocks behind the Dunkin' Donuts on Ford & Wildwood. Boy, that area sure has changed a lot since I was a kid and that's why we have since moved to Hillsdale county. Mary in Camden, MI ... View related article.

RE: Pay Your Child Support
I agree that any parent that is not living in the home with the child should make child support a priority above everything but it does not always mean the child(ren) will have respect as an adult. My hubby did what he was suppose to do and more and one of his adult children has shown him (my hubby) major disrespect in the past and told my hubby he was not a good dad when she was growing up. Sadly the ex-wife brain washed the kids but the oldest kid was old enough to know better.

RE: Shower Doors are White Instead of Clear
Lemon oil used on wood furniture works wonders on shower doors. It removes the soap scum and protects from future build up. Once you clean the doors you will wipe away the excess oil leaving a light coating. The oil can also be used on the metal track & parts. I cleaned estate homes using this trick.
