RE: Mark Christmas Presents With Numbers Instead Of Names
For years we would find wrapped xmas gifts but with no tags so we didn't know whose was whose. After I moved away from home my mother explained that she used a dot system. She would pick a corner of the wrapped gift and mark it with dots (so many dots for each child). Then on Christmas Eve she would grab a bunch of bows with prenamed gift tags already attached and quickly attach them to the correct gifts. We always saved the bows and tags and she would reuse them each year. She always spent the same amount on each of us and we each had exactly the same number of wrapped gifts. I honestly don't know how she did it! ... View related article.

RE: Halloween Themed Party
Black garbage bag stuffed to make head and remaining bag cut into 8 legs for giant spider, black foam vegetable cartons cut into bat shapes (glow in the dark eyes work great with these. Also small ones can have pin attached to make jewelry), use string or yarn to make a loose type spider web around the room and have one end for each child to follow (it is fun trying to go over and under each other) for a small goody bag at the end. ... RE: Pack Clutter Into Trash Bags And Organize Later
I use a similar idea. I gather all the clutter together and put it in a tote. I then use the tote as a coffee table by my chair. As I sit and rest, I can open the tote and sort out a few items to be put away and when I get up I take those items and put them where they belong.

If I have time, I put up a card table or kids play table and sort the papers into piles. I paper clip each category and put back into the tote. When I have time, I open the tote and grab a couple of clipped piles and file them. ... View related article.

RE: Dog Has a Gas Problem
We have a 15 year old dog with gas problems. I now make all his food. I cook up ground beef with some oats in it and add either macaroni or bread crumbs to it for his meals. He will still have gas on occasion but I think it is because he gets into something outside. ... View related article.

RE: Dealing With Lady Beetles
I use a cordless hand vac and go around and sweep the bugs up. Then I go outside and release them. On bad days I have had to do it three or four times but have discovered that I now have a lot fewer bugs inside. Each year there are fewer and fewer by using this method. ... View related article.

RE: Use an Indoor Clothes Line
We use three folding drying racks which hold 1 load of laundry. Drying our clothes on drying racks has increased our house humidity during the winter so we don't have the expense of using a humidifier. ... View related article.
