I have never used dyes on my hair/scalp! Way too scary. But I do use natural Henna I get from India. My color is naturally auburn. The Henna makes my hair very shinny. I use lemon for high lighting. Sly ... View related article.
I'm sure there are many where you live that are crafty. Have everyone & anyone who is crafty donate something & have an auction.
I craft 3 to 4 baskets filled with goodies each year that are auctioned off. Every auction they bring in more money than the last so I always make the next even better.
My friend has a gravel pit he donates a load of gravel. Another paints so she donates a painting. One is the very best cookie maker, than there is the cake maker, a wood craver, ect...
Together our valley has came together to furnish our park with lights. We have gotten the Senior Center a new stove, ice machine, the septic redone, remodeling, paint, ect.. I am 51 so all will be worn out by the time I am a senior so hopefully when I reach that age others will be doing the same.
I (volunteer) teach crafts at the Senior Center also & those things are sold &/or auctioned off.
When I first moved out here the sales were very small but with a lot of hard work & 4 years later they now ROCK.
Do you love her? I have NEVER had any other dogs than the ones I rescued.
Mysteria was dumped out in Death Valley, left to die as a puppy so I don't have 'papers' on her BUT Miss Della Mae I was PROUD to say that she "is a pure breed Heinz 57 off death roll in Texas & I have paper to prove it".
ITA with the other post, get a FURminator! I FURminate Mysteria on a old throw blankie & when I'm done I use the FURminator on the old blankie. It not only gets the hair, but those little blankie rats/knots what ever one calls them. Sly
Oh my! That poor dobby needs a good loving home that he can be bathed inside & petted.
It breaks my heart to hear of humans treating animals like this! Some should just not have Pets & Children when they don't know how or worse... care not to tend to them properly!
My girl Mysteria is by far the hairiest dog I have had in my over 1/2 century of life. Thankfully she loves to be vacuumed, comb, brushed, bathed, blow dried & loved.
She is bathed in the same tub I bathe in & ONLY bathed outside during the Summer. Heck, she is cleaner than many people & Children I have came in contact with. Sly ... View related article.
