| RE: Solutions for Dry Hands |

Cetaphil lotion is the best. I find it at walmart and there is a generic of it right next to it. :-) Sometimes I also warm equal parts petroleum jelly and parafin in a double boiler (only) then pour into small jars. Once it cools, I use it nightly and it is scentfree too. Good luck! ... View related article. |

| RE: Dog is Tearing Up the Carpet |
|
We had the same problem with a cat. We finally had to pull up the carpet around the entrance of the door and put down ceramic tile in about a 12 sq foot area. Turned out to be the best thing for all of us - no more carpet to pull at and saved me from cleaning the entry carpeted area constantly! ... View related article. |

| RE: Surviving Family Thanksgiving |

Been there, done that, got the tshirt! Your house, your rules (smoke outside only) but keep cats put away in guest room, enlist mil to "help" with predetermined chores (preparing salad, etc), limit time you entertain to 3 hours if possible. My mil responds to requests for advice and help marvelously - even if you don't take it she will feel loved. You can offer your mom a treat like lunch together on Black Friday to decompress! Good luck! (One year we did beg off and go away alone for thanksgiving weekend...) ... View related article. |

I saw this episode on Oct 20 for a torched resin table on DIY's "Craft Lab". You could use the finishing ideas for your table. Good Luck! ... View related article. |

| RE: Helping Care for Grandchildren |
|
Wow! What a devoted grandma and mother you are! I would give anything if my own mother fretted over me and my kids like you do! However, I must agree that your marriage is number one and you should honor your husband's wishes to be with him. Unless your grandchildren are moved from babysitter to babysitter often, they will be fine. I wholeheartedly agree with staying in contact with them, phone calls, post cards, etc. Let them know you adore them and just try to see them when you can. And plan things to do when you do see them to make it memorable! ... View related article. |

| RE: Permanent Marker on Upholstery |

Same thing happened to me: 2 year old with a black sharpie to the sectional. We got Fragra-matics Dri-Foaming Spot Remover from Fragra-Matics Manufacturing, Inc. Pine Bluff Arkansas. 501-535-5777. I think it was around $20 but well worth it - all traces came out after blotting at it every day for about 2 weeks. Fabric wasn't lightened or damaged that we could tell. Good luck! ... | RE: Cheap Quilting Materials |

You can always call 1-800-wal-mart and leave a comment regarding your dissatisfaction with dropping their fabric. I have heard that for 2 years now and call ever so often to praise the staff in that department. So far, no changes at our stores! ... View related article. |

| RE: What Color Should I Paint My Kitchen? |
|
Love your kitchen! I am going to rock the boat with my suggestion: I'd look at some samples of a medium sage green. It is a modern neutral these days and still warm enough to pull out the flooring and cabinet colors. And you know, you can buy small amounts of paint sample colors to try out too! ... | RE: Cat Stopped Using Litter Box |
|
Sorry to say, but an old cat hates change and the new cat is CHANGE! Keep the new cat as an outdoor cat until he is the only cat you have. The older cat is p.o.'d and it will take a year or two to accept the new cat. I agree a checkup at the vet might help, but the pheramone plug in will too. Good luck! ... View related article. |

I do the same! Then I realized I can stretch that even farther by wetting a washcloth in it, squeeze it out well, then throw in the dryer instead. elle ... View related article. |
