RE: Crochet Tips for Beginners
Can I cut and paste this onto my blog pls? This is fab! I began crocheting when I was 22 because someone in a homeless hostel told me it was 'easier than knitting'. I mostly crochet patchwork afghans because they are not too difficult to count but I would love to advance to garments and things involving my nemesis - knitting :o.
Ma taught me to knit as a child but I've since lost that skill. To misquote the Linux oneliner I figure there are two types of people in this world - those who crochet and those who don't!
Blessings

I have ulcers (similar) and I have found the only thing that really keeps them at bay is slippery elm. Without anything that's liable to make them worse (brufen etc etc there's loads) will leave me in agony in a few days/hours but with the slippery elm I can pretty much eat what I want. Also suppreses appetite.

RE: Using a Pumice Stone for Hair Removal
Silky mitts can be obtained from chemists etc. over here. They are basically very fine sandpaper that you gently rub over your legs in a circular motion and it removes (cuts off) hair. Over here they are about 99p for 3.

RE: Oolong Tea
Like other folk have said chinese/asian supermarkets and or health food stores or try the online links mentioned. I personally find oolong too bitter so I drink Pu-Erh which is very similar but a milder brew. I have just noticed that Pu-Erh can be obtained from Polish supermarkets as well as my local chinese place.
Hope you get what you looking for regardless and every blessing.
