RE: Spring Theme For Church Tea Party Table
We had a church tea fundraiser last week, and I was hostess for a table of 8. Each table was decorated differently, which was the fun part of attending. If you have a centerpiece that is where you can have fun with the decorating. I used a pretty crystal vase (my own garage sale find) filled with small roses (bouquet was 6.00 from grocery store). I set this on a mirrored tray I already had, and set small tea light candles around it. Use the colors from your china, and buy inexpensive colored paper placemats from the party store to put under each place setting. That really makes the color you choose "pop" and then you can match the other table accessories to that color. Another cute idea is to tie a short length of colored ribbon (match the placemat or china) to the stem of each water glass. Have fun!! ... View related article.

RE: Oval Baking Dish with Lid
I was at an antique mall this weekend and saw so many glass lidded casserole dishes, mostly Pyrex. Prices were reasonable, too. ... View related article.

RE: 4th Birthday Party Ideas
Check out www.birthdaypartyideas.com for interesting games. I suggest a winter-themed party with snowflakes and snowmen. You could do pin-the-nose-on-the-snowman game, and another fun game is to gather them in a circle and have each party guest put on mittens, then have a race to open up candy. At that age, too many guests can ruin the fun when things get rowdy and out of hand. A good rule of thumb is to limit the number of guests to the age of the party host, so in this case I wouldn't have more than 4 or 5 at the most. My daughter is now 10 and I'm speaking from experience! ... View related article.

RE: Ideas For Christmas Party Games And Food
Try the ever-popular game where you display a certain number of holiday themed items on a tray for a set amount of time, then cover up the items and have people record from memory the items they remember. For Christmas you could use ornaments, candy canes, nativity pieces, snowglobes, etc. Good luck! ... View related article.

RE: Removing Grease Stain on Battenberg Lace Tablecloth
I buy Fels Naptha at the grocery store, in the laundry section.

If you still can't find it, try coating the stain on both sides with a heavy layer of cornstarch. Put something heavy on it, like a stack of books, to press the cornstarch into the fabric. Let sit for 12 hours or overnight. The cornstarch will absorb oil. Handwash with Dawn dishsoap, adding extra soap to the stain.

Good luck with the stain. I find buttery or greasy stains the hardest to remove, especially after they have set. ... View related article.

RE: Golden Retriever Chasing Tail And Eating Fur
I totally agree with Ann from MA. Your dog needs at least 45 minutes of exercise every day. I have a Weimaraner who get very naughty if she misses her exercise routine. Check out The Dog Whisperer's blog (Google it). He advocates exercise daily to get the dog in a calm, submissive state. Your dog's anxieties will subside if you walk him daily. ... Old t-shirts and old socks work great. Our classroom uses dry erase boards for working problems and each student brings an old sock at the start of the semester just for this purpose. ... View related article.

Try a mix of baking soda and water; make a thick paste. That's what I use to get camping pots and pans clean. You have to rinse a lot to remove the white residue. ... View related article.

You will have to catch them with this method, but try putting some coins or nuts and bolts into a can with a lid. Anything that makes a loud racket that you can shake when they jump up. They hate the noise and will get down. ... View related article.
