RE: Mower With a Briggs & Stratton Engine Won't Start
Well, got it to start. Put a new plug and new fuel filter. Charged the battery and changed the bolt on the negative terminal because it looked like it wasn't making good contact. I know I have gas flow to the carb for sure. It will start but won't stay running for longer than a few seconds. It is being starved for gas. It will run when I spray starting fluid down the carb until the fluid runs out.

Could it be the solenoid? I took it out and it is a little corroded but still plunges albeit slowly. Don't know what else to check. It is a Murray lawn mower with a t 13.5 B&S motor. Is there something I am overlooking? ... View related article.
