I have a 5 month old Pitbull/Lab/Rott mix and she chews on everything including my hands and hair and every other limb. I've tried my best to get her to quit biting, I know she doesn't do it aggressively she's playing but I don't want this to grow into aggressive behavior. I've held her mouth closed and firmly said no, she hates water so I've taken a spray bottle and sprayed her when she does, and I've put her in time out but I really don't know what else to do. She is very outgoing and excited constantly she doesn't bite nearly as much as she used to but it is still a regular activity. And she's also knocked down m 2 year old nephew. I know she was playing but that is not ok, I have to find a way for her to understand how to play nicely, not to bite and be very gentle with children. If anyone has any advice please let me know. ... View related article.
Thanks everyone for your feedback. She is the sweetest thing, her eyes have turned golden brown now like her moms. I can't believe how big she's gotten in this short amount of time, it's bittersweet thinking about how she's getting so big. She is just a box of energy and rarely calms down. People who come into our home are very overwhelmed by her enthusiasm, I hope she grows out of that soon. I've posted a new picture of her so you can see how big she's gotten already. ... Fishing on the fourth of July in most states is free. Also if you are going to visit the ocean many piers offer fishing without a license, some piers it's also free but many charge only a few dollars per pole. Also if you already have a fishing license and are looking to fish elsewhere many licenses have agreements with other states to fish in there waters. Look into the wildlife commission to see what the rules and regulations are. Fishing licenses are usually relatively inexpensive, they're only 15 in NC. As visitors you can purchase a few day pass for even less. Also in NC if you are fishing with live bait (such as minnows) a fishing license is not required. Also if a pond of lake is on private property (Farm, backyard etc NOT PUBLIC land) fishing licenses are not required.
Walmart offers several decent fishing setups (like zebcos) that are easy to use and less than 20 dollars. Go to stores that sell fishing equipment after summer and fall when the popular fishing season is over, they usually have really great discounts.
