RE: Getting Whites White
Try washing the items in dishwasher detergent. That's what the chefs here in the United States do. ... View related article.

RE: Treating Hyperhidrosis in Children
As a child, my hands and feet sweat excessively. I even had tiny blisters on my hands from the sweat glands backing up. My parents took me to the doctor who just stated the obvious. My hands and feet sweat way too much. Technology has improved to the point that the problem can be corrected surgically. I would recommend against it. In my situation, I outgrew it. By the time I was in my early 20's, it was gone. I would have suffered through a surgery that time corrected. My best to your child. ... View related article.

RE: Dog's Head Smells
My Shih Tzu's face smells if she gets food stuck in her facial hair. Another problem is in the excessive tearing from hair that gets into her eyes. She needs to have her face washed and trimmed to keep her smelling fresh. ... View related article.

RE: Teenage Girl Cries A Lot
Teenage girls cry easily because of hormones. If her crying seems to be excessive, talk to her. Tell her lovingly that you love her and will be there for her no matter what. You are her advocate. If she mentions suicide, take her IMMEDIATELY to the nearest E.R. You may be in over your head and need the help of a professional.

My 19 year old daughter has been dealing with depression for over 2 years. She has had hospital stays and therapy and now is on medication to control her depression. She is happy, going to school and working. It is not an easy road to walk but you two will make it. ... View related article.

RE: Keeping Track of Appointments
When I make an appointment, I just write it down with a dry wipe marker directly on the stove or microwave. I keep an old chalk board eraser handy for erasing the note.

Make sure that if you write on a plastic part of anything, that you don't use permanent marker. If such an accident does occur, write over the marks with the same marker and wipe immediately. Usually it will come off. Porcelain isn't such a problem, and difficult marks will come off easily with alcohol. ... View related article.

RE: Easy Teen Curfew Clock
To go one step further, I told my daughter that if she was 1 minute late without a call to me, then she would lose her car keys for one day. Each time she was late, the penalty doubled. She has been late only twice. She is now 19 and she knows what a deadline means.
Several people have told me that one minute late is pretty harsh. When I explained that she has a cell phone and it has happened only twice in 3 1/2 years, they see my point. We have no arguing or whining. All my rules are very clear upfront and the penalties are very clear too. ... View related article.

RE: Make Soda Go Twice As Far By Adding Water
When my kids were ill, I would add a small bit of water to 7Up and gave it to them to drink. The water took the carbonation out of the soda and made it easier on their stomachs.

RE: Ink Pen Melted on the Dryer
If the ink is on the dryer, use alcohol to remove it. The stain may not be removable. I would try a Magic Eraser to remove that. If the pen itself melted, I would get the dryer checked. It is getting too hot to be safe. ... View related article.
