| RE: Fixing the Taste of Vegetable Soup |
Add some Italian spices like basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary and some crushed fennel. A little balsamic vinegar is good too as it replaces salt. I don't think you'll have to throw it out. just season it a little. Being a vegetarian doesn't mean that you have to give up taste. Vegetables and legumes are so good together, you just have to find a good combination for you. I love lentils, tomatoes and zucchini together with all the italian spices, plus it is also good over rice or pasta. ... View related article. |

| RE: Finding a Job That Will Pay for School |

Look at banks. My son works at a bank and even though he was going to school for something else, they told him if he changed his major they would pay for his education. He did and now he has a financial degree to go along with his music degree, now only one more to go and he will be done with his schooling. ... View related article. |

| RE: Will RIT Dye Transfer? |
There is a product out that will seal the dye into the fabric. I am not sure what it is called. My mom-in-law dyed her cushions and then sprayed this stuff on. Check around at home improvement stores. It is also good because it waterproofs the cushion as well. ... View related article. |

| RE: Paying Debt to Improve Your Credit Score |
You were given some pretty bad advice. Pay your credit cards on time. Don't just pay the minimum either. Paying off your credit card debt is only one way to up your credit score. Once your credit card debt is paid off, DO NOT close the card. Creditors see this as a black mark against you. Also DO NOT close a credit card with debt still to be paid out. Creditors see this as a bad risk. Once your credit cards are paid off, keep only 2 of them. Use one for emergencies and the other should be used for airline tickets and car rentals. The other cards should remain open, but if you cut up the cards you will not do any damage to your credit score.
Make sure you get an itemized copy of your past credit history and examine it every three months. If a debt was paid off in that three months and was not removed from your bad debt history, contact the appropriate people with whom the debt was with and explain to them that you are checking your credit history and would like that item removed since you have already paid this off.
Another thing about credit cards is to stop opening new accounts. Every time your credit history is opened by a new creditor (aka credit card, loan company, etc) 10 points drop from your credit score. I had a client once that would open those credit cards with 0% interest every 3-6 months and she kept transferring her money over. This debt transfer game cast her 80 points within a couple of years.
It pays to stay on top of your debt and get it paid off. ... View related article. |

| RE: Thrifty Graduation Gifts |
When my four sons graduated from high school, they liked the cash most of all. But one gift that each of them received that they each put to good use was a laundry bag, filled with a roll of quarters, laundry detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, and a couple of packs of hangers. This gift was one more thing we did not have to worry about getting when sending them off to college. Another area to think about is a gift card to Barnes & Nobles or find out where the recipient is going to college and get a gift card to their bookstore. We did this for a couple of times and the kids truly appreciated it. ... View related article. |

This works everytime. I fill the bottom of the pan with about one to two inches of water and dawn dish liquid. I then bake it for about 15 minutes at 350*. I take it out let it sit for about 5 minutes and then wipe off anything that is burnt on. ... View related article. |

| RE: Paint Color Ideas for Bathroom with Green and Beige Tile |
|
Green and Beige lends itself to many ways you could go. Do you like flowers. You could put a flowered border up a third of the way down from the ceiling. Paint the walls not covered by the border a light muted shade of blue. It all depends on the shade and tone of the green and beige in the tile. If you don't like flowers you could go with something more subtle like a small plaid or continue with the tile pattern around the room. I have been in the painting business for a while now. One of the tips I like to give to people is to take a close up picture of whatever is in the room that you want to match, You can't take the tile with you. Take a close up of the grren and beige tiles. Take the picture with you to the paint store, find the color tones that match the tones of the colors in the tiles. If you stay in the same tonal colors you will never have a problem getting something to match. ... View related article. |

| RE: Paint Colors for Bathroom with Harvest Yellow Fixtures |
|
I would go with Taupe, Chocolate Brown and a Teal Blue color. I know it is not what everyone else would choose. I am somewhat of an experimenter when it comes to colors. If you stay in the same tone of colors you will be fine. What I would do is take a picture of the tub or sink up close so you get a real good look at the color. Take it with you to the store and match it up with towels, shower curttains, and curtains. You might find something else that looks better than blue. ... View related article. |
