RE: Flea Remedies Safe to Use on Upholstery
It's easy as can be. Sprinkle sevin dust. It comes in different strengths. I've used it before throughout home - even on my sheets in my bed at one time. I raise Yorkies and Persians and Basset Hounds. Occasionally the problem occurs and it can get out of hand really fast. They breed very quickly. If you are unsure how bad your problem is in a room or if there is still a problem, put a plate of water with tealight that you have lit in middle of plate and turn light off in room (of course no animals in room or children to knock over). Fleas go to it and drown. Gives you a good idea how bad it is still or if there is any left in room. ... View related article.

RE: Finding Teal Blue Mason Jars
Contact Gladewater, Texas - antique capital of East Texas. The town is full of antique stores and you should find all you need. If not there, then Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It is full of antique stores as well. Try the chamber of commerce for these towns. ... View related article.

RE: Burn Mark On Corian Counter
I had a bad burn on a countertop. When we built the house, we had gathered ideas we liked. It just so happened one of the ideas was tiles inset onto the countertop near the stove. My husband cut squares and inset decorative tiles that matched the kitchen decor on either side of my stove. It eliminated the burn spot. ... View related article.

RE: Treating Back Pain with Axiom DRX9000
I have had back pain for years and my brother as well. In fact he just got through having an MRI. Just a thought, if you have the cushion deteriorated between several vertebrae, sometimes one leg ends up being shorter than other as a result. Fixing the shoe helps. ... View related article.

RE: Use Old Dresser as a Computer Desk
I did that too. It was so much fun to use something different and this is small, doesn't take up much space. It is an old piece that I found at a craft show that had been craft show painted with roses, flowers. I feel in love with it. It's 5 X 5. It has opening and two small drawers on right and two open cubbies on left. The open cubbies hold my hard drive on it's side (works great for my needs) and the one above holds my HP printer (works great for my needs).

The drawers hold my paperwork and receipts, etc. Top surface is 2 1/2 deep and perfect for monitor, keyboard and mouse. Doesn't take up much room, is decorative. I've had people comment on it and praise it. They love how compact it is and loved the way it's painted and decorated. I have plenty of room on the right side for a lamp, and other needs as the keyboard, etc. only takes up left half of top. I have a small area underneath on left side where I keep telephone books, etc. Let's hear it for us resourceful ones. ... View related article.

RE: Killing Fleas on Furniture
Just use sevin dust. Buy it at a home improvement/garden store. Just very lightly dust it. It doesn't take much and it won't harm you or your furnishings, carpet, etc. You can put it in the bed, in carpet, on pets, on pets bedding, sprinkle on ground, throughout house. (outside after it rains you will have to reapply periodically. Works like a charm. If you want to find out if you got them all, put a plate of water with a tealight in center (lit) and turn off lights to room. The fleas will go to the light and drown. Lets you know the degree of success you are having. ... View related article.
