Profile For vcphillips - PHILLIPS FAMILIY

I am an Air Force Wife with 3 kids.  We just arrived here in Japan in May 08.  We will be here until May 2012.  I love doing crafts. My favorite craft to do is make Bucilla Felt kit Christmas stockings- and give them away when they are done.  We are waiting my husbands upcoming deployment back to Iraq.  We miss all of our family back in the states- it will be really hard this year around the holidays.

RE: Dark Colored Towels Bled on Light Colored Towels
If you put bleach on the colored towels it will put bleach spots on them. For future - SHOUT makes a dye catcher. You throw it in the washing machine and also put the one that was in the washer right in the dryer with the wet clothes. These work great- especially when you have a white shirt with red trimming- go ahead and throw the shirt in with your loads of whites and put in the shout dye catcher sheet and it will catch the dye and your other clothes will come out fine. You can get this product at any store-- It says shout right across the front of the box- the box is white. good luck. ... View related article.

RE: Puppy is Very Cold
I agree, take him to the vet. but you said when you started to warm him up he eventually started to shake- that is a sign that he is warming up. Sounds like before he was way to cold to even function. Shaking is how human sand animals warm up there bodies. ... View related article.

Put a slice of bread in there to soak up the moisture. You can also do this when you bake cookies- put a piece of bread in the container that you are storing the cookies in and it will help keep them fresh. ... View related article.

RE: Curtains Over Sliding Glass Door
We are living in Japan in base housing and have a huge back sliding door, there are 4 panels. What I did was take those scotch white hooks, the ones with the sticky backs on them, and put those on both top corners of each glass. I bought one of those cheap round curtain rods and just laid it on the hooks with the curtain. You can't even tell how they are hung up there. People ask me all the time, "How did you get curtains up on there like that?" I just tell them with a curtain rod. No one has ever figured it out. ... View related article.

RE: Conditioning Curly Hair Before Straightening
I have long dark brown , thick, curly hair. My hair is about 2 inches from my bottom. I wash my hair then condition. Take a towel and wrap my hair up for about 4 minutes then go to bed and let it air dry the rest of the way. If you start rubbing your hair with the towel it will cause more frizzes. When I wake up in teh morning I use a "chi" serum and flat iron my hair with the "chi " iron. I just bought a new one- my old one was over 12 y/o. It was still in working condition- but I seen on ebay that they have pink- so i got it- i paid almost $100. They will last you many years. You do not want to flat Iron your hair every day. I do mine every 3 days. WHen i go to bed during those nights of not wasing my hair- i wrap put on a "do" rag. Then When i get up i just go over it really fast with my iron again- but do not ad more serum during those times- your hair will be very greasy. Then the third night i wash my hair and start all over again the next monrning. I think that i also get my hair cut every 10 weeks. I know that every one says 6 weeks- but with me only washing and flat ironing my hair twive a week my hair doesnt get damaged that much. Good luck. ... View related article.
