RE: Sample Sizes For Travel
I use old presciption bottles for lotions, shampoos, conditioner, and even my body gel!I can never find sanples of the stuff I use (NEXXUS for hair and curel for lotion, and softsoap gardinia bath gel). I don't like to change products over a vacation as it may cause rashes, itching, etc... One big hint, if you choose to use old medicine bottles, rinse them with boiling hot water before you even think about putting anything in them. Your spouse may be allergic to the medication you were taking and vice versa!-Misty ... View related article.

RE: What Do You Think of This Wedding Dress?
You are going to have to make sure your breasts are covered at all times and this is one of those dresses anyone with breasts would pop out of! Good luck-Misty ... View related article.

RE: Poll: Are you a stay at home mom (or dad)?
I have been a stay at home Mom since our youngest was 4 and am not happy doing it! Don't get me wrong I love my kids ( three of them) but I loved working. I (in the mean time) have suffered a dibilitating disease that doesn't allow me to do much of anything (including playing with the kids). I have degenerative disc disease in 4 discs and 3 disks that are gone. I also have arthritis is my knees and back....which cause me to swell in both areas and make movement impossible sometimes. I also have osteoperosis, which is just making me shorter. I am always on pills that exclude me from driving (Morphine, percocet, valuim, etc...) so I can't even go anywhere anymore. I am almost done with my AA degree (my school has allowed me to do all of my classes online and some teachers have even stopped by to pick up homework). I hope I can continue to get my BA, just so I can say I have done something. I know my kids love me with all of their hearts, but I wish I could be the parent I want to be. The one I used to be. The one that played baseball, and did gymnastics with the girls. This is not a poor-poor-pitiful me post...it is a "I want to be better" post. One good thing that has come of this is my kids have more respect for the disabled. (which is great) The bad thing is they miss their "real mom"...the old fun, crazy, zany mom that was a blast to be with. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE HELPFUL!!!!! I do a ton of arts and crafts with the kids and on good days play "walking touch football" (no running allowed because they would stomp me!!!! (Normally they do anyway) Dad does play with them alot, doing the things I can't but is also working double shifts so we can make ends meet and is exhausted most of the time. My father (the kids' grandfather) also takes them on a bike ride each weekday for two miles. I just wish it were me doing those things! Like I said...IF ANYONE KNOWS ANYTHING ELSE WE CAN DO THAT SOME ONE SLOW AND IN PAIN CAN DO WITH THEM, I AM OPEN TO ADVICE! I also have taught all of them how to cook and bake. (They are 9(girl) 10 (girl) and 14(boy) ) Thank you to all that offer tips. Please email me @ marstonmd (at) hotmail.com because I haven't figured my way around this site yet! Thanks again-Misty ... RE: Skillet Spanish Rice
you can also just brown the burger(We use the 3% fat), add a big jar of chunky salsa (I like Pace meduim heat) , and cooked rice (We use whole grain rice). Let simmer for about 25 minutes. Before serving we sprinkle cheese (We use parmesean) on it! I like everything to be super easy! This is also super healthy!!!! Low in fat, high in good grains, and has a ton of veggies!--Good Eats-Misty ... View related article.

RE: Growing Strawberries in Containers
My uncle grows strawberries and they are wonderful...but he smokes. Did you know if you are a smoker and you touch the berries they do not grow properly? They tend to over rippen too easily....and they get "bad spots" where you touched them.

Just one of those trivial things!-Misty ... View related article.

RE: 80s Style T-shirts With Tassels
I just made my daughter two of them for her birthday (she saw them in a movie made in the eighties and loved them).
I bought shirts that were two sizes too big and cut off the sewed bottom on the bottom of the shirt and the sleeves. Then I took a good pair of sewing sissors and sliced in 1/4 inch (not perfect) sections about four inches up all the way around the bottom of the shirts and all the way up the sleeve (until I hit where the sleeve is sewed on) At the bottom of each one of the cuts cut a small v, just so you can get the bead on.

Slide the bead to the top of the slice you made in the shirt and make a small knot at the bottom. Then pull the bead down and put some force on it to make sure the knot is tight enough. Continue for the rest of the shirt.

YOU HAVE TO WASH IT BEFORE IT WILL LOOK RIGHT!!!

And just as a whatever, it took me about and hour and a half per shirt to do....so make sure you have uninterupted time to do them. Once you get interupted, you lose the "flow" you were getting into to.

email me at marstonmd@hotmail.com and I will send you pictures of one of the shirts that my daughter won't take off!!! (I use Kodak easy share)

Good Luck-Misty ... View related article.
