| RE: Propagating a Weeping Willow Tree |
|
You can find a piece of new growth on a willow tree, cut or break it off and just put it in a pot of soil or into the ground and it will grow. This is very possibly, the easiest tree to grow. Just be mindful and don't put it too near your house. These trees will invade your septic system and cause major problems with your home. ... View related article. |

| RE: Cakes Sticking to the Pan |
|
Baker's Joy or store brand, works like a charm! I wouldn't try these for years because I didn't want to risk my cake possibly sticking to the pans. I always greased and floured my pans the old fashioned way. I finally broke down and tried the sprays. They work great and so simple to use. Cakes pop right out of the pans with no problem. ... | RE: Cat Has Stopped Eating |
I know exactly what you're going through. My cat did the same thing earlier this year and is the same age as yours. He'd lost so much weight that I thought he was going to die. My 13 year old son took a look inside kitty's mouth and found that his gums were inflamed and his teeth were all decayed and rotting out. I switched his food from dry to can and he started lapping up the gravy on the canned food. His teeth are still not any better but he is eating like a horse now. He eventually started eating the food along with the gravy, although it did take some time. My cat was the picture of health and weighed nearly 20 lbs before he stopped eating. He'd lost down to about 4-5 lbs and was really pitiful. He's back up to his "pre-diet" wgt. now.
Unfortunately, I am currently unemployed and can't afford to take him to a vet now. Hopefully, I will find a job soon and can get something done for his teeth. ... View related article. |

| RE: Cleaning a La-Z-Boy Recliner |
I know you are going to think I'm crazy but this works! Take the chair to a car wash! The high pressure kind with the wand that you spray your car with. My mother-in-law and brother-in-law just did both their chairs. They are both very plush and thick. One of them is a huge over-sized chair.
The chair will dry in a day or so. Just put it in a sunny place and the water will drain to the bottom of the chair and dry. You can even put a couple of box fans around it to help with the drying process. Just be sure and grease the reclining mechanisms or spray with WD-40 to prevent rust. This works like a charm. ... | RE: Using Dehydrated Apples |
I dry my own apples like my grandma taught me! The dried apples are the best for making fried apple pies! These are a favorite during the holidays.
Rehydrate the apples by putting them in water and boiling them until rehydrated. You can then strain off the excess water and add sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg or allspice. Let the mixture cool completely.
While mixture is cooling, make your pie crust or use canned biscuits and roll them out to make the pies with. Put filling in the crusts and fry them. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar when they come out of the pan! ... View related article. |
