RE: Giving Garlic to Your Dog
I have been feeding my 60 lb lab homemade food for the last 14 mos. She is now 13 yrs.+ 1 mo. old. The Vet told me in May 2008 that she had Canine Cushings Disease and a mass in her lung. I chose to make her food and give her vitamin supplements after reading an online book by Michael Dole. It has been the best choice for us. I have given her both raw and cooked garlic in almost all of her meals. She gets approximately 1-2 chopped cloves (cooked is probably best) in her food. She is doing great, loves her homemade food, looks better and has lots more energy. Don't give them whole cloves, because they just go through and come out whole. No benefits if it isn't chopped up finely. ... View related article.
