RE: Pay Your Child Support
As the custodial parent I can not agree any more! My daughter's father pays weekly support until she is graduated from HS (6 months after she turns 18). It is automatically deducted from his check and direct deposited into our account. By no means does what he send help cover very much in what it cost to raise her (she is active in band, cheerleading and soccer at school), but it is definitely a help. She also knows that she will never have to do without what she needs - she does not always get what she wants. She has learned to earn money for the things she likes to do (she babysits).

I also think it is important not to bad mouth the other parent. Her dad and I had issues (he was unfaithful for a long time) not her and her dad. I have let her draw her own conclusions and opinions.

Have a great day! :) ... View related article.

RE: Bugsy (Boston Terrier)
Love it! I am the proud momma of a Boston (see Butler's Isabella Grace) she just turned 1 last month. She is such a joy even when she is being rotten. She looks at me with her big blue and big brown eye (she has 2 different colored eyes) and I can't stay mad at her. I tell everyone she is my baby (my 2 people kids are 7 & 14) girl. She has brought me so much joy & is a hoot to boot!

RE: Surprise 18th Birthday Party
I did a suprise 30th Birthday Party for my hubby several years ago. I made Sloppy Joes (I posted the recipe on here a while back under "Charlotte's Sloppy Joes) it was cheap, easy & good. I had family and friends bring a side dish. I bought a cake, had tea, lemonade, coffee, water, etc. Best part is Keith had no clue - we had such a good time! I hope this helps! :)

RE: Hamlet (Pug)
He is too cute! I love Pugs almost as much as I love Boston Terriers! I have a Boston "Terror" as my 7 year old calls them. Her name is Buddha Bella she has brought me so much joy. Even my husband who does not like animals loves her (though he denies it) haha! ... View related article.

RE: ALDI Food Brands
I LOVE Aldi's! I have been shopping there for the past 15 years. It is a great place for fresh produce (the only thing I never buy is bananas or potatoes - I have not had the best luck)! You can not beat their prices! I buy their yogurt, olive oil, snacks, canned goods (I rarely buy canned goods anywhere else), I even like their laundry detergent. I try to go and stock up every couple of months and hit them up a couple times a month for the produce. I have not bought any meat, but the frozen fruits and veggies are great! ... RE: Long John Silver's Coleslaw
Coleslaw (Long John Silver's)

8 cups very finely chopped cabbage (1 head)
1/4 cup shredded carrot
2 tablespoons minced onions
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup milk 1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
1. Be sure that the cabbage, carrots, and onion are chopped up into very fine pieces (about the size of rice kernels).
2. Combine the sugar, salt pepper, milk, mayonnaise, buttermilk, vinegar, and lemon juice, and beat until smooth.
3. Add the cabbage, carrots, and onions. Mix well.
4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
serves 8
The critical part of this cole slaw recipe is the flavor-enhancement period prior to eating. Be absolutely certain the cole slaw sits in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours prior to serving for the great tasting slew of slaw.

RE: Make a Habit of Returning Cart from the Parking Lot
I am glad I am not the only one. Honestly, how much longer does it take to walk over to the cart corral and put your cart away??? I get so irritated when people are so lazy! The worst is when the corral is next to the car and they still do not put it up! GRRRR..... I always put my cart away and people complain their cars get dinged up in parking lots! I suppose if all stores resorted to the Aldi's way and pay a quarter to use the cart most of the stray carts would disappear! ... View related article.
