I have read and re-read your recipe---am I getting this correct
1. don't pre-soak the beans
2. put two whole heads of garlic, which contain several cloves of garlic, with the skins on in with the beans?
3. what amt. of cooking time does it take?

Juno is great---they have a special going rite now for dial-up unlimited--$4.97 for the first three months and then only $9.99 a mo. thereafter. Never had one prob with them. If you go for the special--say I referred you and it would be nice to get some cash from them for a referral

I tried peoplepc.com -horrid- The software was so messed up--will never go to them again. OK--most people don't realize this about Callwave but it's there, ya just don't notice it.

The way my hubby has always done it for years---cut up taters, onions, and cabbage and chunk up the corned beef and put it in with the rest of stuff--season it--we throw it in the pressure cooker--yum--about 15 min. later it is all done and we put it on our plates--mash it and add butter and s&p, and we are "good to go!" If a person is having financial probs, they may be on assistance from their state. The FIA agency here in MI has a gift giving big deal for the kids, but I think you need to be letting them know like maybe in Oct. or Nov---check with your local social services,welfare etc office and see. There is always a way to get things for the kids. Call local churches too and see if they have anything going on for disadvantaged kids at christmas time and if you know someone who is in this situation, call for them and get the info--alot of times a person can be so "loaded down" depression-wise, they just can't handle the searching aspect of this to help their kids. She and her fiancee' were both getting SSI disability--too young for retirement disability---about $1100 together and went to the same address.
