What a beautiful boy, he is so lucky to have you. So few creatures are 'saved' from the world, thank you in Bubba's name for loving him and giving him a terrific home. Leah from Down Under. ... View related article.
I think the soup you made may be too bland. Plain boiled veges and legumes can be a bit boring. I always add a can or two of chopped canned tomatoes, with a teaspoon of sugar (to cut the acid of the tomatoes), and I would add some Oregano or Thyme. Not too much, about half to one level teaspoon. Start small, then add more. I'm speaking about dried herbs here.
Use more carrots and celery, as they are the real "taste makers", and put in about 3 or 4 stock cubes for a large pot of soup. It just needs some livening up, that's all. I make minestrone a lot, leaving out the bacon, and it's absolutely delicious. Any cookbook should have a recipe for it, or Google it - there are many different recipes there. I hope this has been of some use to you. ... View related article.
I'd guess that there's Shepherd in her, but really, dogs can be such an enormous mix that you'd never know. She looks as if she should be a Breed on her own, she's truly beautiful, and has a divine smile. You are very lucky to have her. ... View related article.
Make them whenever you want, or when you have the time, freeze them, then thaw and use them when you need to. I don't have a microwave, so I just unwrap them, re-wrap them in foil, and put them in a medium oven for about 10 minutes.
They are a good standby - and you can freeze rice and any pasta in amounts to suit you also. I always have enough plain pancakes, rice and pasta in the freezer for a few meals, and it's less fussing around when it comes to cooking the rest of the meal. ... View related article.
There are so many cooking sites available that you should be able to just look up what you want - they all taste better than anything out of a can. If there are things you shouldn't have, just leave them out, or look up Substitutes in Recipes on Google, and they'll tell you what you can use instead. I never use canned soup, they're so full of preservatives and other muck. Play on Google a bit for recipe sites, and you'll get some really good ideas. Leah from Down Under. ... View related article.
Buy the washing liquid that is for front-loading machines. They are low-suds. I use it in my twin-tub machine, and it's great. Regards, Leah from Down Under. ... View related article.
Glenn's Mom is right - it's because the ear flap makes inside the ear a great breeding zone for bacteria. I use drops from the chemist that are made for "swimmer's ear", which is prevalant here in beach-crazy Australia. It's the same deal with human and dog ears. I find they work really well, and aren't too expensive. It will probably keep happening, especially in summer, so always keep some of these drops around. Most "human" stuff is much cheaper than from the vet, but essentially the same thing. Clean with cotton balls or tips before putting in the drops. Leah from Down Under. ... View related article.
This isn't very "green" but have you tried Oven Cleaner? I use it for my Pyrex casseroles that get a build up every now and then from use, and it works fine for me. Spray on and leave overnight, then wash thoroughly, first in soapy water, then in clear water. Best of luck. Leah from Down Under. ... View related article.
