RE: Dog Shaking Head
My furry child did same thing and I also couldn't see any type of problem. I let go as I figured might have gotten something in ear that would shake loose where either I could get it or it would come out. Big mistake. It was ear mites and one day unexpectedly, a large blood blister was on inside (visible) portion of ear. Rushed to vet and he lanced and the ear is permanently now in a "cauliflower" ear. Cute but could have been avoided. Get your child some medicine for mites at the vets. ... View related article.

RE: Home Remedies for Stomach Aches
First of all, go to a doctor to see if you have an illness that needs medical attention. If its confirmed that it is indeed a simple stomach, try this. My sister (a RN) suggested it and I tried it and it has worked every time. Sip some hot water. (doesn't have to be boiling, just hot) Sip it, don't drink it as you would with any other drink. It eases the stomach and hopefully, this will help. ... View related article.

I have been thinking about making those little net scrubbers for the bath, as I change in summer when I work in the yard a lot. Although I realize these suggestions focus on pot scrubbers, it gives me lots of ideas for body scrubbers too. Thanks. ... View related article.

RE: Advice About Dying Clothing
I have also recently started dying clothes and have found it to be a really great way to "recycle" clothes. I am not sure if this is an old wives tale, but I was told by some to put salt into the dye when washing. It supposedly helps color to set in cloth more. Again, not sure if this is true or not. Maybe other more experienced might have heard of this and whether useful or not. ... View related article.

RE: What Breed is My Dog?
I had a pit/bulldog mix. He was the KINDEST dog around. I was very hesitant to take him for the reputation I had heard about pits. But soon realized that reputation is not a reality. I know some pits are trained as fighting dogs, but then so are other breeds and they are just as dangerous in that case. The dog I had would let me take bones right out of his mouth, although I don't recommend this with any dog. The only time I ever saw him acting like a mean dog was when a male stranger was getting a bit too close to me on a walking trail. The man backed off immediately. I had to laugh cause he really was a faker. I doubt he would even know what to do! He is and always will be a memory that I smile at. I will always remember fondly my brindle pit/boxer mix named Caleb Bodine. So enjoy your baby. Just treat him kind and loving and he will be kind and loving. ... View related article.

RE: Learning to Knit Vs. Crochet
I definitely feel its easier to crochet. My friend though swears the knitting is. I can do both but I still feel crochet to be easier. At least for me it is. I recently started to crochet doilies with the string thread and its like learning to crochet all over again! ... View related article.
