RE: Pricked by a Bougainvillea

RE: Mayonnaise for Lice
In the past I have used olive oil to remove lice and their eggs with great success. Just soak scalp and hair with oil and let sit for at least an hour (You also get really good conditioned hair out of it). Then wash out and comb out.

RE: Inexpensive Ways to Prepare for Hurricanes
My family and I have been through a couple of very bad hurricanes and the best suggestion is to check out the available shelters before hurricane season. It doesn't do any good to prepare your supplies and head to a shelter when the shelter is nearly destroyed around you. Please do not go to a shelter that has never been through a hurrricane. We went to a brand new shelter in a safe area during Ivan and the roof lifted up and the whole shelter ended up flooded. One other thing if your area is hit but a hurricane everyone needs to be nice! It will be hard driving without major lights and trees on the road so slow down and give way and be nice.
Thanks!

RE: Solution for a Very Invasive Weed
I live in Pensacola, Florida and I have a plant that would suite your needs...My mother and I call it "the daisy from hell". It grows about a foot a day and can take over an area in about a week. It has a close growing mat of leaves and yellow daisy like flowers. There are some nurserys in our area that actually sell this plant. But beware you must really love it where you plant it because it is near impossible to remove it once in an area. I have been trying to remove it from my garden for the last six years and I am losing the battle!
Request a picture if you are interested and I will post one.

RE: Making a Wasp Trap
Please reconsider using wasp trap...Wasp are some of the best bug eaters in the garden. They eat alot of the bugs that you have to spend money to get rid of.

RE: Urine Smell on Toddler's Clothing After Being Washed
To remove urine smell from clothing use about 1/2 cup of vinegar (white not apple cider) in the wash. Your clothes will be whiter and cleaner with no smell.
