RE: Dancing in High Heels
TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED ME!

MY DAUGHTER'S WEDDING WAS THIS PAST SUNDAY, AND EVERYTHING WENT OFF BEAUTIFULLY.

I SCRAPED THE HIGH HEELS ON CEMENT AND THEY WORKED; OF COURSE, LATER ON I GOT INTO A MORE SENSIBLE (LOWER HEELED) REAL DANCING SHOE. I DANCED A LOT! I LOVE TO DANCE.

WE ALL HAD A WONDERFUL TIME! I SAID I WOULDN'T CRY, BUT I DID, OF COURSE.

IT WAS ONE OF THE MOST WONDERFUL DAYS IN MY LIFE. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP IN ALLEVIATING SOME OF MY ANXIETY. I DIDN'T FALL OR MISS, NOT ONCE!

RE: Hair Dye Stain in a Sink
Thank you all for your replies. I can see I'm not the only one with this problem.
Finally, I have made some progress. Have done the following 3 times and most of the stain is gone.
1. Clean the sink or area and thoroughly dry.
2. Make a paste of pure chlorine bleach and ajax.
2. Apply to the affected area with a dry white cloth (something absorbent, such as an old cotton towel). Apply liberally, gently rubbing in as you go.
3. Leave on for about 30 minutes/more if needed.
4. Rinse with the cloth you used thoroughly and allow to dry.
Do again the next day and so on.

NOW THE BIG QUESTION IS: HOW TO AVOID GETTING STAINS IN THE SINK WHEN I DYE MY HAIR?
ANY IDEAS ANYONE.

Thanks again for all your suggestions. I hope these have helped us all.

RE: Using It Up - Beauty Items
RE LIPSTICK:

Recently, out of desperation, I found out something great. When my lipstick reaches the point where I can no longer directly apply it to my lips, all is not lost. I take a Q-Tip and scoop a little from the base and voila! There are at least 10 or more applications left.
My desperation came from the fact that this particular color is no longer made.
It is the story of my life that if I find a color that I love, be it eyeshadow, blusher, lipstick ... it soon goes out and they stop making it.
Does anyone else have this problem???
I would love to hear from you. Is ther any way to get a shade very close to it. I had a lip pencil which I used and used till there was no way. I could not find it any where.

RE: Washing a LeSportsbag ... PLEASE READ EVERYONE....
Hi Rebekah:

Well I rubbed the alcohol on to no avail. I am really upset because the bag is not that old and the manufacturer said it was safe to hand wash it.

I hate to pour out another $70. or more (the price probably went up) for this bag.

Thanks for your advice though.

DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE ANY IDEAS? OR DO YOU T HINK I JUST PERMANENTLY DAMAGED THIS BAG AND HAVE TO DITCH IT???

THANKS AGAIN.

RE: Tips for Hiding Thinning Hair
Here are my tips (sorry if they duplicate any above):
Frequent shampooing if your hair tends to be oily (use baby shampoo if you are worried). Also, I don't use the blow dryer too often (except when going out). Instead I run my hands through my hair as it dries and then back brush it. I bend over and brush the hair forward. This makes the hair look fuller. A good haircut is very important. Keep your hair no longer than shoulder length, and your hair layered. A mild body wave (I have heard) can be very helpful.
Finally, good quality, well-matched hairpieces (the less hair on them the better ... as it will look more natural). Some have combs for attachment and then you can use bobby pins to secure them. Try Paula Young if budget is a problem. Ask them to mail you swatches before you buy so you can compare against your hair. Paula Young is online. I am not advertising them, but have used them successfully and am very happy with results. They even have specific pieces for crown and side coverage.
Good luck.

RE: Lousy Motel - TO ALL WHO WROTE ME
I am sorry for taking so long to respond to all your kind feedback re my motel experience at my daughter's graduation this past May. I was ill, but am now much better. Right now, just getting back on my feet so I have decided not to pursue.
But I have saved your replies should this ever happen again.
I have heard that using a reptable travel agent puts you in a much better position.
So, my thanks and my apologies.

RE: Faded Black Clothing
Thank you all for your suggestions. I have copied and printed them for use.

Where do I get this jean dye for $1.00 and where do you get the other dye.
Also, do I dye them one item at time (there are 4 or 5 items of clothing), or is it possible to do all at the same time in my washing machine.
How much dye would I need to use if I put all 5 items in the washer on a low water level. Or is this foolish?
Sorry, have no idea how to do this.
Also, re the coffee, does it stay in permanently, or does it wash out again. How much coffee for each item.
Sory for all the questions, but I thank you very much for all of your help ... all of you. thanks so much.

There is such a kind group on this board.
Thanks.
