Wow! Love the garland idea! If you scrap book, why not use a few of the beloved cards to decorate the xmas pages? Same for the b-day ones. A lot of bang for the price of Free! I adore that word. I will have to use that garland idea for the kids b-days! I am such a pack rat, I even have 7 years worth of cards sent to my oldest child ( with four kids , you can imagine the stockpile :) Hope this helps! ... View related article.
This is why I love this site, wonderful people! Thank all of you for the ideas and support. I've had all the reading members of the house look at this :) And the grumbling hasnt stopped, but it has gotten to be more under their breath, haha! ... View related article.
Greetings,Tracey! Fresh herbs are great!! They take alot of abuse, the more you trim from them, the happier they tend to be (my kind of plant). You can pretty much use them as soon as they have leaves, and they no longer look like one pluck will uproot them. My advice for big healthy herbs, pluck the top growth off , helps them "bush" out better. But I wouldn't use miracle grow on anything that you plan on eating. Oh, and let the soil get a bit dry between watering. Like I said, herbs like alittle abuse! Good luck! ... View related article.

Wow, so glad that somebody mentioned help and the angel food ministries! Honestly, not sure how we've made it without the local churches. There are six of us under this roof, and the twins are still in diapers(so ready for that to be over)! So I understand what you are going through, and I say GOD BLESS YOU! Don't forget to breath :) And wash everything that you can in Cold water, make sure there are no leaky anything in the house, and learn to Love your crock pot ( slow cooker) . You will get through this, and be a stronger family for it! Good luck! ... View related article.
Hello, Sue. I am so sorry that you are going through this. But, as I'm always telling myself "This too shall pass". The last heartbreak I had, a good pal asked me 'Was he a support, or an anchor?" In other words, did he hold you back or hold you up. That and I made a least of all the pros and cons of him, and how I felt about myself during our relationship. Not a cure all, or a magic pill, but it certainly got me through some dark moments. I really hopes this helps! God loves you, and so does everybody else! ... View related article.
Heres another warning about the trumpet plant. Here in Ohio, last summer, we had a huge problem with teens and young people using the pods to get high (can you imagine!?)So please, if you plan on planting these, destroy any pods that develop! I don't think any deaths happen as a result, but I do know of one teen that spent a terrible 12 hours in the ER waiting for the effects to wear off After having his stomach pumped! For what its worth, they are lovely in the garden. ... View related article.
While you can use any sweet (hard) cookie I have dabbled with using crushed pretzels mixed with crushed nuts as a pie crust for really rich cheesecakes. You'd be surprised what the little bit of salt can do for a dessert! And I'm not sure if you have any in your area, but those little teddy bear shaped cookies, TeddyGrahms work out pretty well too. A woman I work with actually uses Ritz crackers (salty, buttery) for the bottom of a mini cheesecake. Hope this helps! ... View related article.
