only if they are both of the same religion. it might seem rude to get him a bible of his faith, if she is clearly of another. almost as though she doesn't count... and actually i think its a poor idea. if they are religious they probably already have one, and if they arent religious, it will be a large expensive paper weight ... I wish I had a great idea for the old build-up but I dont-as of yet, I will ask my hair dresser this weekend, he keeps his shop very clean, but after you get it all up, baby-wipe type things are the best for everyday clean-up to prevent more build up. I find it much easier to spend some effort every day, over a massive clean up that take an entire day! have a great day!
try a casino night! go to the dollar store and buy: dealer hats, fake poker chips and a few decks of cards. You can make certain people dealers and what not. Get on the internet and find the rules to some of the more popular games (Texas hold'em, black jack etc.) You could serve just finger foods so people can eat and play at the same time. Have prizes for the end of the night, like whoever has the most fake chips gets, like a batch of brownies, or a fast food gift certificate. I hope he has a most wonderful birthday regardless of what you choose!
wow - lots of tips, my mother is a nurse, so she is explained the how/why of hiccups and the best (easy) way to get rid of them. Get a big glass of water and drink as much as you can with out breathing through your nose. Just drink drink drink, no breathing, and presto, all gone. I like some of the other tips, but they just arent practical. Pickle juice? what if you are at work...or being held upside down... I bet they work, but I like the easier one. enjoy
All good ideas. I am currently a college student, and I know all about those little booths they set up with free gifts for you. I never did that. My fiance and I both have credit cards, but have made up some rules for us to stay on top. We both went right to the bank we used and ask specificaly for low limit cards. We have about $800 limits. And when we do make a purchase, it must be paid in full before we are allowed to use them again. I think that they can be very helpful, if used correctly and with maturity about them. I hope that all college students read this before they get sucked in by a free t-shirt. It could become the most expensive t-shirt you ever got! Good luck...
I am a college student right (which means "flat broke") and a good thing to give is stamps! I hate having to buy stamps! But more than that GAS! A gas card in the mail is like solid gold. You can't beat having some gas in your car. Just go a chain gas station and pick one up, they have different values and such so its very easy to make it in your budget. :) Hope that helps........man now I want some gas in my car!
As a small child myself when I was that age, my mom actually didn't do what the doctor said (Adding more cals) because of how our society is,much past 6 we learn to eat because its fun or sociable, not out of true hunger(which is the ONLY reason we should eat anyhow) let her body be her guide. If she is hungry, offer fresh, healthy foods. Fresh milk, fruits and veggies, yogurt, cottage cheese, etc. I wouldn't try and force her to eat any more than she really wants. With our society full of rising obesity, our children might be headed for the same path if don't teach them that food is for norishment, not emotional comfort. Best of luck with you little one!
think of the nipping that he does, sort of like when a baby reaches out for you, then grips and pulls(like on your hair) it is motar skills combined with new things to explore. It isn't out of aggression or anything like that. They haven't learned yet how to control their mouths and such. I know those sharp little baby teeth can hurt though, so if he nips to hard, hold him up to your face and possible hold his mouth shut, very gently and say gentle, gentle. That worked with our dog. I wish I could be more help with the potty training thing... 9 weeks is still very very young. Take him out side or on the paper much more than you think he really needs. Say every 20 mins, and when he does go potty give him lots and lots of praise. He should come along as he ages. hope this helps you. enjoy your little fella.
I guess it is my mistake about saying "costing ME a small fortune" I only meant that I am in charge of OUR money, and it is more expensive to eat b/c of his picky-ness. I was suprised at all the people who made such a huff about that. I also think that suggesting we shouldn't get married over his food prefernce is absurd. I just wanted some adivce on basic foods without a lot of veggies that I could try. Again, my fault I should word it better
try Burts Bees, they have safe all natural products and even have a gift set for little ones, called Baby Bees. just put in a search. I use the baby bee products and I am an adult. Best of luck
