RE: In Memory of Pepper (Black Lab)
I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is as hard as losing a family member. My little dachshund is 12 and dying of cancer. I too am devastated. What did Pepper die from? Old age I hope. Hang in there and you may think this is awful but go to the humane society and get another dog. A totally different dog than Pepper but one that likes the same thing. Such as a golden retriever. Bless you and Pepper ... View related article.

RE: In Memory Of Hatchet
I am so sorry about Hatchet. She looked like a wonderful dog. She was so smart. Hatchet is now at the "Rainbow Bridge", That is a poem about losing a dog. It is on the web if you want to read it. I recommend it. I am so sorry for your loss. ... View related article.

RE: Hibiscus Losing Leaves
Thank you everyone that wrote their suggestions for my hibiscus plant. I think that every garden should have one and I am going to get another in the spring. They have very large blooms and mine is a peach color. The flowers change a different color as the season goes. Now mine is yellow. It is gorgeous. I would like to get another for my deck but I know last year it didn't like all sun. It kind of wilted so I put it partially under a willow tree and it bloomed a lot. I figure that it had about 100 blooms on it this year. It is only 3-4 feet tall. They are gorgeous. Thanks again, Carole ... View related article.

RE: Hibiscus Losing Leaves
I don't know about the other perennials, but my neighbor has her hibiscus all bundled up with gunny sacks. Some places do have master gardeners you can call. I should have checked with the nurseries about my hibiscus. I have it in my bathroom and someone said it will lose some leaves because of the temperature change and coming indoors. Good luck on the perennials. ... View related article.

RE: Dog Has Soft Stool With Mucus
She is beautiful! I also had a sheltie named Bonnie that was named after a collie named Bonnie. Bonnie needs to be taken to the vet. I had a collie with poo like that. He was never right but lived to a ripe old age. Good luck. Everything will be fine. There is also a vet online that deals in holistic and common medicines. His name is Dr. Jones. ... RE: What Breed is My Dog?
Your beautiful dog is the most beautiful, loving, faithful dog there is. He or she is a golden retriever. You are so lucky! I hope you have children because goldens love kids. Good luck with him. He looks like he could use a little love and grub. They are very soft hearted so don't yell at him or her for awhile. ... View related article.

RE: Dog with Chronic Ear Infection
I had a friend that clued me in on this. Go to the drug store and get generic athlete foot cream. Clean outer portions of dogs ears then put the cream on the ear flap and a little bit in the ear canal. Kind of massage the ear gently. Sometimes the dog will cry out then you are doing it so you are rubbing too hard. The dog can't lick his ear (at least mine cannot) and it works. I do this 2-3 times a week until cleared up and then keep checking to see if you have gotten all the black goopey stuff or if it multiplied again. It is a yeast infection. Now give your dog a treat and you wash your hands and watch Oprah Good luck ... View related article.
