RE: Best Anti Aging Cream
Ladies, you'll luv luv luv me for this. You can make your own La Mer. (is that how its spelled?) Create your own high end cosmetics just like you see at Neiman's and Sephora. And have big fun doing it! www.skinactives.com Now, just say Thank you Marie Claire! And I'll be happy! ... View related article.

RE: Cat Urine Smell on Hardwood Floors
I have 4 boxes full of so-called urine clean up products, which failed. Only one worked. It's Anti Icky Poo and I got it from www.catfaeries.com They have a yellow stain remover too.

Anti Icky Poo worked on my rugs, kitchen floors, and my hardwood floor entry way. ... View related article.

RE: Litter Box Training a Bunny
Buns will use a litter box like a cat, but they are not 100% perfect about using it, so you need to be patient and understanding.

You'll want a hood-free cat litter box. My favorite litter is Care Fresh which is made from paper. Two good places for bunny advice www.rabbit.org Which is The House Rabbit Society website. An independent one I look at from time to time is www.saveabunny.com

If the bun does piddle on something it's easy to clean. I use this stuff called Anti Icky Poo and I get it from www.catfaeries.com (look under Urine Clean Up) I like the unscented best, but sister likes the regular spice scent.

And don't forget - bun needs to run and play in the house for exercise, and they are so much fun to watch! ... View related article.

RE: Cleaning Farm Eggs
I leave the crud on the eggs then put them in egg cartons for the fridge. As I use the eggs I wash them off under running water, and dry them. That gets any bacteria off the shell and so when you crack open the egg its safe. I feel that the crud helps preserve the egg so I don't wash it off before I put the eggs in the cartons. ... RE: Save Vegetable Cooking Water for Soup
And if you don't want to do that collect that water along with the water used to rinse rice and pour it in the garden.
I have a bucket in my kitchen to dump water into. I probably empty it in the vegetable beds 2 x a day.

Another thing to save is bread crumbs. I keep a contained in my freezer and add bread crumbs all the time. It takes awhile to fill it up, but when I do I'm all set with great crumbs for meat loaf or crab cakes. ... View related article.

RE: Leaves are Free Fertilizer
Absolutely beautiful posting! Those gas powered noisy leaf blowers should be banned. I'm glad that someone else mentioned that lawn clippings (hard to believe that anyone still has a lawn) make good mulch and compost too.

RE: Going Organic With Pet Food
You can't afford to NOT go organic

www.eatwild.com will take you to grass fed meat in your state!

Our furry old geezers have been eating homemade raw meat since they were babies - their vet can't believe how spunky they are. Lot's of recipes are out there, just remember you don't need to be perfect about - do your best, it will pay off

RE: Paper Or Plastic Bags?
Cloth
Washable
Super strong - they never tear

You can find cool patterns to make your own.
Or go to www.etsy.com and support a crafter who's making them.

I also found a few folks on Etsy who make smaller bags to put fruit, vegetables and bulk items into. Just pre weigh them so you can tell the cashier how much to deduct from the scale.

I keep a set or two in the car for those spur of the moment shopping trips.

All of my bags are pretty and colorful. None of those dull beige shopping bags for me! I also like longer handles for my shoulder. So making your own to be the same size as a paper grocery bag is the best. ... View related article.

RE: Float Ideas for Homestead Festival
Rhino Records for 80's music complilations

Pick a theme for hair/clothes . . . .the band Culture Club? Such a distinct and SO VERY 80's look! Or Adam Ant's look. Both are very rag-tag and could be put together with thrift store finds (or your closet!)
