OMG, I thought I was the only one! I've had this for a few months now. It's just what you all describe. I went to an ENT and he had no idea, so I don't think it's a fluid thing. I will say that the pressing my tongue to roof of mouth offers some relief. I think it's similar to an eye twitch, brought on by stress, even if you don't think you're stressed.
I've tried dropped, trimming ear hair, even ice to numb it. The ENT gave me an epilepsy drug, mild dose, in the hopes of knocking out the nerve flutter. Tongue to mouth seems to be the ticket! ... View related article.
