I am a registered nurse, work full time and also help my fiance from time to time with his business.  ( Feel free to visit his website, he is a private investigator. )  We live in Columbia, Missouri, bought our home about a year ago.  Have 3 dogs, no children and more than enough to keep us pretty busy.  Love the ThriftyFun site, get so many good ideas and tips from it, was raised by necessity to be frugal and just can`t see wasting money.

RE: How to Buy Meat in Bulk
Look in the local paper classified ads, also try Craigs list, meat or beef is usually listed under the Farm and Garden section, though you can search the other sections as well. You can also Google beef or pork ( or similar seach terms ) + your town and see what comes up. ... View related article.

Thanks to all for the great ideas....I will be making some of these in the near future. As it turned out this delightful lady loves to cook and has been cooking for us.....good old- fashioned southern cooking, she has been teaching me and I have been learning some of her recipes as she makes them!

RE: Getting Back Into Nursing Job After Long Absence
Nine years is a while, but have you thought about applying at a long-term care facility in your area? They tend to be not as stringent with their experience requirements. Even part time at first just to get your feet wet again , then when you have some experience can think about other options. A good facility will be willing to give you extensive orientation and make sure you are ready to be on your own. Though nursing has changed, a lot of it has remained the same as when our instructors drilled basic concepts into our heads. You could also get a couple of books to review basic principles such as anatomy and nursing procedures on your own. Hope this helps. ... View related article.

RE: Advice On Rimadyl Dosages
If you buy the 100 mg. tabs and cut one in half, I think you could save some money. give one whole and one half tab if you want to continue 150 mg. per day. (If I understand correctly you are now giving two 75 mg. tabs.) Suppose you could try to give less, say 100 mg., and just see how your dog does with that dose, maybe some days that, or even less, would be enough. If you see the reduced dose is not effective you can always go back up. ... View related article.
