RE: Preserving Game Boards and Pieces
Yes this works. Also I have a great tip I used with my 5 kids. Whoever wins the game puts the game away. They are on a high so the losers don't feel so bad. Also this website has lots of replacement parts you can order. I work at the YMCA and have replaced connect 4 about 4 times in 7 years. The yellow grid has a hook on the outside that breaks. Unbelieveable - They let you buy that whole piece for $3.00 which includes shipping. Much better than buying a new game for $15.00. http://www.hasbro.com/default.cfm?page=cs_parts
Hasbro has bought out parker brothers and a few others so check the list for any game you need parts for. ... View related article.

RE: Underwater Picture Scene Ideas
I think that blue and green crepe paper hanging against the wall and use helium fish balloons weighted from the floor to give a 3D swimming effect would be quick, easy and cheap. Maybe you could steal some idea's from these http://www.twintownevents.com/theme_undersea.html

Get ideas from these birthday parties THE BEST OF

http://www.birthdaypartyideas.com/html/spongebob_parties_24.html

I hung jellyfish" from the "ceiling" of the tents. The jellyfish were paper lanterns (from the dollar store) that I only opened halfway and glued party streamers from the bottom. they really did look like jellyfish!

use rolls of the blue Saran Wrap for an underwater look

For decorations I hung a fish net I got from a party store and decorated it with balloon fish and octopus. Easy to make by using marker to make eyes, mouth etc. then used tagboard to make tail fins and eight legs of octopus, then in center of each board poked a hole and pulled the knotted end of balloon through. Really turned out cute. Lots more helium filled balloons and streamers

blue tarp for the floor to carry the background theme
You could decorate ice chests to look like treasure chests that would be strong enough to sit on.

Use a Green Netting from Walmart and draped it from the ceiling creating a seaweed effect.

Background from Oriental trading

Table decorations you could use live gold fish in a small 99 cent store bowl.

Hope this helps - let us know what you decided to do and post some photo's after the event. ... View related article.

RE: Save Money on Kids Clothing
The best yard sales for clothes (5t and under) and used baby equipment is at your local twins club yard sale. They are usually organized well and have lots of slightly used stuff. Go to www.nomotc.org and click FIND A LOCAL CLUB and put in your zip code to find the local club in your area. Most have a website or a contact person. You can call and ask when the next sale is. Larger clubs have 2 sales a year. ... View related article.

RE: My Clothes Dryer Door Won't Stay Shut
The Magnet idea sounds better than our idea. We found a board that we wedge under the handle and the floor and it holds it shut. Took a few trys to find one the right size. ... View related article.
