RE: Using "Pour On" Epoxy on Painted Countertop
I did my daughters countertops. I waited at least 48 hours before pouring on the Envirotex. On your paint or primer can there should be something about the amout of time it takes to "cure" it. Just follow the recomended time. Good luck! ... View related article.

RE: Cleaning a Lampshade
Sounds nuts but I fill the bathtub with lukewarm water, add laundry soap and stick them in. I turn them every so often to make sure it saturates everything. Then drain and fill with clean water the rinse the soap off. I take them out, put them on a couple of old towels in front of a fan and they dry in no time at all. I haven' warped one yet. ... RE: Does Estroven Reduce Hot Flashes?
Yes Yes Yes! I had a total hysterectemy 5 years ago. I was a bundle of hot flashes before and a raging fire after. I tried the "natural" way first, yams, soy, and nothing gave me relief until I started taking hormones. It took me about a week on hormones to get full relief from hot flashes and the mood swings but now I'm back to my old self. I tell my doctor that they will have to pry them from my cold dead hands before I give them up. Believe me, my husband and children agree. ... View related article.

RE: Cleaning Underwear
I have the same problem with my MIL. I use 20 Mule Team Borax. I just add about 1/4 to a half of cup with my usual laundry detergent. It does a great job removing odors. ... View related article.

RE: Making Drinking Glasses From Glass Bottles
There are several video's on youtube showing how to cut glass bottles. I watched them last year because I was going to try it--you know how that goes. It's still on my "like to try list" If I remember, you take cotton string or twine, soak it in nail polish remover, tie it on the bottle where you want it to be cut, set it on fire, and then submerge and snap off the top in a bucket of cold water. ( I think the sudden change in temperature breaks it off.) Then you wet sand it smooth. Good luck and let us know the results! ... View related article.

RE: Sealer Recommendations for Faux Granite Counters
I can vouch for enviro-tex light. I used it on my daughters Kitchen counter top. Its been well over a year and it still lookes as good as it did the day I finished the project. I was pretty intimidated by the stuff at first--I just rolled my sleeves up and jumped in. Just make sure nothing is blowing directly on the stuff when its wet. ( like a vent) I had to sand, clean and lay down a second coat of enviro because of bumps. I know you can do this! If I can, anyone can. Good luck! ... View related article.

RE: Beware Using Glitter When Refinishing Counter Tops
Wow, sorry to hear about the glitter bumps. I did my daughters counter tops a year or so ago. There was a ceiling vent directly over the countertop and the next day there were all kinds of bumps and such that got stuck in the wet enviro. (all sorts of construction going on at the time) I could have cried! I sanded smooth, cleaned with alcohol, and layed down a second coat of enviro. I made sure I blocked the vent off so nothing would blow directly on it. The next day it was so smooth and shiny! Good luck! ... View related article.
