I've been a cheapskate er, thrifter for many years-even before it has now become popular. I've always look to get the most for my $, without getting "snowed." I never beleived the marketers hype, I've always shoppped around for the best deal and I am not nor will I ever be status conscience.
One thing I always say and I wish consumers would take heed about. The world is run by supply and demand. YOU ALL CONTROL THE DEMAND! If you refuse to pay that price for the merchandise or cut back on your consumption (hint: gas prices) the price HAS TO COME DOWN! But the spend free public doesn't get that, so we all have to suffer! I have never paid over the price for something even though I may have wanted it despretly.
