RE: Cleaning Stuck Food off Cookware
Soaking in hot water with a little dish soap & Calgon water softner works every time for me. Soak for an hour or all night. Works great for soaking the oven drip trays, etc. I add Calgon water softener to the dishwasher & washing machine too, I wouldn't be without it. I never need anything else. ... View related article.

RE: Sewer Odor Coming from Sink
I would try the idea someone sent for keeping drains unblocked, pour in bicarbonate of soda [ baking soda] until it fills the whole drain then pour in lots of white vinigar & leave overnight, it sure keeps the drains clean so maybe "clean drains - no smell" worth a try anyway. it's bicarb of soda they tell us to use in fridge etc to keep it fresh, so maybe it will work for you, all the best to you. ... RE: Stomach Cramp Remedies
I used to be so bad I "threw up" & always had to go home from work, so bad sometimes I don't know how I made it home, [when I went into Labor with my first child I thought "I get pain like this every month"] until someone brought me a small bottle of brandy - gruesome stuff- but boy did it work! with a hot pad on my tummy I fell asleep & awoke painless! it was the ONLY thing that worked for me. I truly sympathies with you dear. ... View related article.

RE: Coffee Stains on Coffee Pot
The way I clean my coffee pot etc is a breeze with either Calgon water softener or Mr clean magic cleaning pad, each is great on their own or can be used together, I soak burnt on food & oven ring spill catchers with Calgon & a little dish soap works in no time. I also use Calgon in dishwasher & washing machine, I love the "stuff"! ... View related article.

RE: Can I Freeze Cherry Tomatoes?
Hi, I just pack them into clean ice cream or milk cartons after washing, [I never freeze in plastic anymore] If ever I am in doubt about freezing anything, I just throw a couple in the freezer & check 1 or 2 days later. ... View related article.

RE: Adjusting Liquid in Bread Machine Recipe
Hi Ackerman. I do what "cleo" does, only I add 2 teaspoons of Real Lemon, lemon juice, then fill the measuring cup with water, the lemon juice makes a higher lighter loaf. Even nicer if you take out the dough after last rise, put in loaf pan, and bake in oven, no big hole to contend with. I use 2 bread makers at one time then I can bake 2 loaves, saving time and electricity. Happy baking! ... View related article.
