RE: Where Can I Find Dischem Vitamin E 7000 Cream?
Can help you with the Dischem, but I can highly recommend Aquaphilic with carbamide (make sure you get this kind).

Many pharmacies carry it (including Walmart), but you have to ask for it. No prescription needed.

It comes in 1lb. jars, works great and has no scent. Great value, too.

RE: Calming Spray For Cats
I also recommend Rescue Remedy and I have bought it in spray form.

Most health food stores carry it.

Since cats are very territorial, it will take some time for the established cats to accept the newcomer.

Try placing the cats in different rooms during some part of the day and giving the established kitties more attention.

Some aggression may occur, but don't let it get out of hand. ... View related article.

RE: Skin Allergy to Coffee
The most definitive test for delayed food allergies is blood test called the IgG ELISA test.

Most people have delayed reactions to foods they are allergic to versus the immediate reaction to single foods that often can be life threatening. Think peanuts, eggs, strawberries and the like.

Delayed food allergies can be persistent and annoying and take a toll on your health.

This test can be done by independent labs via mail as well as through your doctor. It's expensive, but most insurance companies will cover it. Also, labs offer a choice for the number of foods tested, usually 48 or 96 foods.

RE: Alternatives to Wheat Flour
If you are looking for a gluten-free diet, avoiding oats of any kind would be best. Spelt also is not considered wheat free, but some people can tolerate it better than wheat. It makes a nice bread as works well for pizza crust.

There are lots of resources on the Web for baking and cooking with alternative grains (garbanzo, quinoa). Different grains are more suitable to different recipes and you might find you prefer one over another.

For an all-purpose baking flour, The Gluten-Free Gourmet and author, Bette Hagman, suggests

2 parts white rice flour
2/3 part potato starch flour
1/3 part tapioca flour

Mix together and store in a cool, dry place.

I use quinoa flour on its own for muffins and pizza crust.

Another pizza crust that's wheat-free, quick, easy and cheap are brown rice tortillas. They freeze well and are readily available in the States. After placing sauce and toppings, heat in a toaster over vs. a conventional oven. Don't overcook.

RE: Pit Bull Puppy Chews on Everything
It's time to start training your dog. There are good books out there by Cesar Millan (Be a Pack Leader) and an excellent website by Ed Frawley, a very experienced trainer of German Shepherds, leerburg.com. His site contains much information and his training DVDs are great, well worth the money.

Don't put training off a day longer. Buy a crate and put your dog in when you can supervise him and at night to sleep; walk your dog twice daily; and get some help with obedience training.

RE: Asking Boyfriend to Dance in Front of Friends
Unless you're really sure he's going to say yes to your request, you risk embarrassing him if you ask him in front of all your friends.

To be on the safe side, ask him when you're away from the group. This way you have better chance getting the answer you want.

Nobody likes being put on the spot, especially guys -- and the younger they are the more easily they embarrass.

RE: Small, Soft Training Treats for Puppy
Hi,

We use real liver (freeze-dried) treats and puppy biscuits. The real liver treat are soft and can be broken into smaller pieces. The puppy biscuits are small, round and harder and are perfect for small dogs like yours.

For training, it works best to have three grades of treat Best, Better, and Good. For the difficult commands such as a stay, wait, down-stay or drop it, the best or "gold" treats make training easier.

Good luck and hope this helps.

P.S. These treats are available in chain pet stores. ... View related article.

RE: Removing Candy from Cooking Pot
You could try sprinkling Bon Ami over the hard candy. Sprinkle a small amount of water on the powder to make a paste. Then, let it sit for a few hours or overnight.

A small, sharp knife may be needed to wedge the hardened pieces off the pot surface. A scouring probably will get the rest off.
