RE: Fleas in Carpet
Having animals all my life and having to deal with fleas. We have found that using table salt was really good. The salt dehydrates them. What we do is sprinkle in the carpet, couch, and on the bed *under our sheets*. Then let it sit over night. Next day vacuum it up. If necessary repeat weekly but I've only had to do it like twice in 6 months. It has worked wonders! ... View related article.

RE: Preserve It Naturally
We need to hook up! I know several people who would love to learn this idea! As well as me. I have a food saver so I can make my own bags. I do use the reynolds for cheese and stuff I will get into a lot because I have the reseal option without cutting off extra to make room for opening and resealing, but I love both my sealing systems. You make your own cheese! OMG! this would be awesome to learn to do! ... View related article.

RE: Home Remedies for Psoriasis
For myself as well as my daughter we use a bar of soap (can't let it sit in water) called all-purpose soap from nutragena (sp?). It was designed as a face wash soap but when we went to visit family and was out of body wash I decided instead of calling out to someone I would try that instead. It actually made it feel better. ... View related article.

RE: Removing Chewing Gum From Hair
Goo-gone! My daughter got gun in her hair and it pulled it out.. as well as lovely fresh fast acting window caulking. I have no idea why but she did, and I am talking clear down to her scalp. Using goo-gone was the only thing we could find that would get it out of her hair. Nothing else worked. ... View related article.

RE: Make Dry Shampoo with Baking Soda And Baby Powder
Great idea! I'm sure the soldiers could use this idea when it comes to missions and they need something to take with them for a quick clean up. Rub this on their skin and away they go when they don't have time for major relaxation.
Sounds weird I'm sure. lol ... View related article.

RE: Removing Kool Aid Stains
I use a product that is has gotten everything from red makeup out of carpet, red crayon ran through washer and dryer out of white cordaroy(sp?) pants to everyday cleaning and even fruit punch spilled on a white-ish tanish carpet with a product call L.A. Totally Awesome. You find this at the dollar stores. I usually buy it at Dollar tree but I have seen it at dollar general or family dollar.

My neighbor said she has used it for getting pink fingernail polish out of her carpet that was there for at least a week.
A 16-20 oz bottle runs about 1.00 to 2.00$ at one of the local dollar stores. Try it and see if that works.
