| RE: Buying Kraft Roka Blue Cheese Spread |
It was discontinued last year according to the link below: http://recipe-board.kraftfoods.com/ ... -General/Roka-Blue-Cheese/1700001501
As you know, we discontinued our Roka Blue Cheese Spread at the end of last year. We know how special family recipes are during the holidays and we hate to disappoint! We are making sure that our marketing teams know how much you miss this.
In the meantime, our Kraft Kitchen Experts are also looking into a possible substitute in a Cheese Ball recipe. Well keep you posted!
Thanks, Claire
You could try the product locator but not sure if anything will come up: http://productlocator.kraftfoods.com/kraftfoods/productlocator.htm
In that same thread someone posted this recipe: I made some "Roka Blue" this weekend.
It was a double batch and it was pretty darn close. 8oz cream cheese 5oz blue cheese (I used maytag) 6 Tbsp.water
I let the cheeses come to room temp. Then I put them in a food processor and pulse until combined. Then I added the 6 Tbsp. of water and ran the processor until smooth.
I used my version of "roka blue" in an old family recipe and it was very close to what it should have been. Good luck
Here are the list of ingredients from the Kraft label:
Cream Cheese (Pasteurized Nonfat Milk & Milkfat, Cheese Culture, Whey Protein Concentrate, Salt, Stabilizers [Xanthan and/or Carob Bean and/or Guar Gums]), Water, Blue Cheese (Pasteurized Milk, Cheese Culture, Salt, Enzymes), Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey, contains less than 2% of Salt, Beef Gelatin, Lactic Acid, Carob Bean Gum, Pectin, Guar Gum ... | RE: Recycling an Old Christmas Card into a New One |
If you are wanting to take one older card and turn it into several cards. Is that what you mean?
You could cut out small circles or even stars or other shapes and then add that to a piece of card stock for a new card and then embellish with ribbon or christmas wrap, beads, glitter. sequins or other things.
Here are some pic examples: http://www.ehow.com/how_5307880_mak ... aments-recycled-christmas-cards.html http://www.pinkparfait.com/2009/09/recycle-old-cards.html http://www.curbly.com/diy-maven/pos ... 6-easy-handmade-christmas-card-ideas
If you know how to crochet you do make the ornaments like on this next link, attach it to a card stock and then they could take it off the card and hang it on their tree: http://rootsandwingsco.blogspot.com ... ycle-card-into-crochet-ornament.html ... View related article. |

| RE: Do Pantyhose Have a Shelf Life? |
Nylon pantyhose has a fairly long shelf life especially if it is new /unopened / not worn. It is the pantyhose that has some spandex in it that will have a shorter shelf life as it loses it's elasticity over time. (Like support hose, light support hose or even some manufacturers add a little bit of spandex for a better fit.)
I had some pantyhose that was over 10 years old. Some of it was fine and some the elastic in the waistband 'rotted'...when stretched out it made a crackly noise and never stretched back into shape. The leg part was fine though.
I suppose it also depends on storage too. Kept away from excess heat, light, moisture etc. ... View related article. |

| RE: Pattern for Knitted Christmas Stocking Ornaments |
My knitting expertise is limited to a very basic potholder so I am not sure how easy any of these are. The first one or two look the simplest.

| RE: Reviews of Bounce Dryer Bar |
First off I have not tried the bar. I don't use fabric softener on towels as it takes away their ability to absorb and you cant pick & choose which laundry loads the bar uses as it is in your dryer until it runs out.
I tried to look up other reviews but so many people got free ones to blog about on their blogs so they did not see impartial to start off with.
I did see someone mention that the bar came unstuck after 3 weeks and she couldnt get it to restick. Another said it didn't last as long as advertised. And another said if you wear running apparel made of special fibers they say not to use fabric softener on them (like coolmax).
I have $2.50 off and also a $1.50 off coupon for the dryer bar. They do expire at the end of this month though. If you want me to mail them to you send me your address soon through my profile link or the contact link so it isn't public. ... View related article. |

| RE: Getting Rid of Mouse in Car |
Thee are some ideas here: http://www.ehow.com/how_4480122_get-rid-mice-car.html
Traps or sticky traps to get rid of them and then wash and vac every crevice to get rid of any crumbs of food etc. I have heard mice do not like the smell of mint. This former ThriftyFun thread deals with that. http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf703999.tip.html (Do NOT use moth balls.)
Another article mentioned moving/parking your car in another location if possible. I have read that they will chew on car's wiring so it would be good to take care of it asap. Good luck to you. ... View related article. |
