RE: Glass Top Range Cleaner
I have found Magic Eraser works wonders and will even get the burnt spots off. I usually follow that with a quick wipe down with glass cleaner because that seems to leave it nice and shiny. ... View related article.

RE: Electric Smoke Detector Won't Stop Beeping
They will beep when you remove a battery or when one is removed if it is wired into the house. If it is only a battery operated one and it continues when the battery is out of it, replace it immediately. It is a safety issue reminding you that you need new batteries or a battery in the detector. You should never have one with a low or no battery. Even the smoke detectors that are wired in to your electric must have a battery backup and after so many years the detectors (electric) need to be replaced as well. Check on the inside, it will say something like "must be replaced by 20XX".

If you have new batteries and the beeping continues, buy a new one. They are not expensive and you have the peace of mind knowing your family is protected.

Also, you should have one in every room except the kitchen due to the fact that sometimes stuff smokes in there and causes alot of "false alarms" The one nearest will work for everyday protection.

They should be mounted on the ceiling 12 inches away from the wall, or above a doorway 7 inches below the ceiling. ... View related article.

RE: Safe Flea Treatment for Puppies
Use Advantix or Frontline from the vet. It is safe for puppies and is applied where they can't ingest it. If you use a spray or powder they can ingest it when the lick themselves.

Usually if you are already an established customer at your vet they will sell it to you, no visit needed. ... View related article.

RE: Taking Care of a Puppy With Parvo at Home
As far as I know you have to get them from the vet. Parvo has a very distinct odor and comes with diaraha and vomiting more than foamy grass and if the puppy is only throwning up grass and foam most likely he has been eating grass to settle his stomach and he may have eaten something else that didn't agree with him. Either way, best bet is to take him to the vet and get a proper diagnosis and medication.

You should not feed ramen noodles to a dog as the sodium content is through the roof and is not good for an upset stomach. Best thing to feed a dog with an upset stomach is boiled white meat chicken and plain rice.

Does your son work and can he help pay the vet bill? ... View related article.

RE: Locating Someone for Free
You can type the name into the google search bar but be specific if you can because you will come up with everyone with that name, or you can try whitepages.com as MCW suggested or a yahoo people search. I paid to get a phone number and address from one of the sites (can't remember which one, it may have been people search) but it was only $1.75, so that was reasonable. Good luck. ... RE: Cat Has Worms That Won't Go Away
Take this cat to the vet and have it tested for worms to find out exactly which type of worms it has. You have to get a prescription wormer from the vet that is specific for tapeworm. Over the counter wormers don't work for tapeworm even if they say they do.

RE: Mice in Car's Fan Housing
There is not much you can do as it is the design that allows small animals to get in there, which is also why some others dno't have the problem. I work at a car dealership and asked a technician as I have never seen anything that you can do, and there is nothing you can do. Trust me, I have seen all sorts of things in cars, mice, nests, dog food, acorns, etc.
If you can stand the smell of moth balls in your car, I guess that would do it.

What about putting one of those ultrasonic things out near where the vehicle is parked, or is it too far away from the house or an electrical outlet?

He sprayed something around his yard, couldn't remember the name or what it was, but the strongest thing you could by without a license. I don't recommend that as I don't like chemicals like that. ... View related article.
