Hi you might want to pull the float bowl of the bottom of the carb and spray with a choke and carb cleaner. Remove the jet in carb also clean then blow them out with your air hose. Replace with fresh gas and go mowing. Something else I ran into awhile back that was way different the gas cap on our mowers have a vent built into them I had one that was actually clogged causing it to run on choke only.I'd do the carb first tho and blow out the vent just because. ... Hi I'm not gonna tell you that the switches are there so we don't let our children get mangled by a mower, we made unsafe. I'm just trying to keep you safe. If you tell me how many wires for each switch what switch they are as in seat, electric clutch and so on. Hi, if the 20 amp system fuse blows, the mower will not make a sound will not turn over nothing. If it does turn over, spray a shot of starting fluid into the carb and try to start. If it runs and dies, you have a fuel problem. If it does not try to start, you have a problem with the electrical system. But now you know which way to troubleshoot. Here's what ya do. Spray a shot of starting fluid into the carb. Try to start now. If it runs and dies, then you have a fuel problem. If it doesn't try to start, you have a electrical problem. Hi, to narrow down the problem, spray a shot of starting fluid in the carb and try to start then. If it starts and dies or engine tries to fire, you have a fuel problem. Hi what I would do is disconnect the starter 12 volt line completely. Now hook you 12 volt battery charger up, negative to ground on mower and touch the positive wire to positive terminal on the starter if it spins freely you have a wiring issue if not a bad starter. If it smoked when you turned the key on and now nothing at all you'll probably find a blown 12 system fuse hid somewhere where you cant see it. if it is a blown fuse you have a direct short on the 12 volt line somewhere. When you find your short your mower will probably be fine then. hi check to see if the carb has a shutoff relay screwed into the botom of the bowl.if so you should be able to hear it click when the key is turned to on position.if you do not here the click check voltage to relay also ground wire to relay.if this is ok i would pull carb bouwl and blow out jets and where the relay screws into the bottomof the carb . hope this helps. jim ...
