I have been a Registered Nurse for over 18 yrs - NEVER NEVER NEVER take advice from the internet about Diabetes Wound Care. I can not expres it enough - GO TO THE DOCTOR or you will be calling an ambulance to take you to the Emergency Room when those areas become infected and you have a life-threatening illness called "Sepsis" (an infection in the blood stream often cause by ignoring or mistreatment of other wounds). DO NOT treat them with anything you see here or anywhere else on the internet. People do mean well but each person is an individual and what may have worked for them may not work for you. I also suspect that your Blood Sugar is not under control, another reason to get to the doctor. PLEASE!!! Find a way - the local police department and Fire House will also know of someone in your area that can help you. You're in my prayers. ... View related article.
I remember this show!! Telling my age aren't I? As I recall you needed to have the ODD item in order to win so here is a list of things I remember Monty asking for (plus a few I tossed in myself): Bobby pins, paper clips, small toys like from a Happy Meal, nail clippers, hair clips/elastic, coins, cd's, plastic clip for the center of a 45 record (you might know what this is - good luck finding one), straws, swiss army knife, pen/pencil/paper, tylenol/advil/midol, votive candle, lighter/matches, socks, undies, sunglasses, Christmas ornament, OLD drivers/ID card, jewelry items, model car paint . . .
All of these are small and can fit in a reasonably sized purse. Have Fun!!!! ... View related article.
Use the standard recipe but substitute a replacement for the sugar such as Splenda or the Splenda for Baking - I am a Type One Diabetic and find that this works well for me - just be sure to mark the packages with a note that they have Splenda/sugar substitute as some people are sensitive to it. And since you are in West Virginia place a call to Beckley to Colony Drug and Wellness, their Nutritionist has a great bunch of recipes and alternatives for just such a thing. They have a website with all their contact information at www.colonydrug.com ... View related article.
Try making a cover with a very simple block method - then for the inside ---- use actual clothing scraps! Cut up that old pair of jeans and use the zipper instead of having to actually sew a zipper on it. Old buttondown shirts can be used from anywhere there are buttons! For lacing? Well, tie the spine of the book together using a lacing method, securing it halfway up so it won't fall apart, but leave part of it open for your child to lace together. You could even incorporate different types of things for the senses! Fuzzy fabric, smell-good sachts, sandpaper! Use your imagination and go wild! (You can also use fabric glue instead of sewing! Several glues are very durable and child-safe.) ... View related article.
ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!! With that said --- We have to, as parents, consider the maturity level of our children and their knowledge of how the REAL world works. I don't even allow my 15 y/o to go anywhere alone. Most children this age are not good judges of character in their "friends" let alone strangers that prey on children. Even if she has had the talk from the policeman that visited the school, she isn't ready and neither are you ready to let her go out alone. For your own peace of mind, keep her close as possible. ...
