| RE: Propagating Hydrangeas |
|
In response to Cyinda.; watering once or twice a week should be fine, depending on weather conditions. If it's hot and dry with no rain for a week, then the hydrangea might need watering twice that week. The plant will droop a bit, letting you know it needs the water. I have 5 plants and haven't had a bit of trouble. I live in NJ. If you're in Seattle I would imagine you get enough rain to satisfy the hydrangea. As with most plants, if it's new, it would need tender loving care the 1st year. Planting in the shade would have you watering less than if it were placed in full sun. I don't fertilize, But lime will make the blooms pink and 'Miracid' will make them blue! Fun! ... View related article. |

| RE: Craft Project: Birdbath Recycled With Love |
In reply to Laniegirl, those aren't holes they are green glass accent stones/marbles, found at the craft store. The stepping stone cement is more expensive at the craft store, however I used the 50% off coupon. It cost me about $4.00. I went to Home Depot, but I would have had to buy a 50 lb bag of Portland cement. I didn't need all that, so I opted for AC Moore. The stepping stone cement is Portland cement, just in case anyone was interested in making a lot of stepping stones, The 50 lb bag would be the better buy. Thanks Laniegirl, for your interest! ... | RE: Old Bottles of Suntan Lotion |

Does your township have a recycling center? They might take them. My husband and I recently had to clear out my mother-in-law's shed. With many old hazardous items, like paint thinner, varnish etc. My township recycling center adviced us that the county has a quarterly drop off site for hazardous materials. We just drove to the site on the specified day, showed our proof of residence, and they took the items from our trunk. Maybe your township can give you some information. Good luck. ...
