RE: 911 Access with Cable TV Phone Service During Power Outages
I just switched to cable phone service yesterday. The installer said there was a battery backup system available for purchase in the event of a power outage. With the savings I'll get from switching to the cable phone service, I might just invest in the battery backup. I'll post again after I get a chance to look into it! ... View related article.

RE: Buy Now, Pay Later Catalog
My mother brought up three girls on minimum wage and we never felt poor. One of my favorite birthday gifts from her was a typed index card which expressed her love and was a gift certificate saying, as she didn't have money to buy me a gift, she was taking over my duty of one month of doing dishes (my older sister and I would alternate months of doing dishes). Like Heather said, though, use your head. Be careful you're not bringing anything with termites, fleas, roaches or anything with an odor into your house. ... View related article.

RE: Store Manuals and Warranty Information in a Binder
Just this morning I put this sort of product info in a file box with hanging folders. I separated it into two major groups (Personal and House). The Personal files have furniture, TVs, tools, etc. (things that will go with us when we sell the house). The House files have everything that is attached to the house (frig, stove, flooring, water heater, etc.) so I'll be able to pass this on to the new owner. I WISH all this paperwork would fit in a binder! ... View related article.

RE: Big 6 Volt Battery Contains 32 AA Batteries
Check out Snopes.com and enter "6 volt battery" to get the low-down on this. It sounded like a great savings idea to me when I got an email about it (which I passed on to friends!) but, unfortunately, it's not true. ... View related article.
