I am enjoying semi retirement at this point in my life. I teach traditional rughooking (not latch hook) and have a class that I teach every other Wednesday at a community center. I enjoy dyeing wool and designing folkart patterns. I have always had a vegetable and flower garden and love to landscape. I moved to the country in 1991 from living for 11 years outside of San Diego. My fondest wish is to return to S.CA but am making the most of living the country life for now until my husband retires. We enjoy golf together. I am a 5 year survivor of breast cancer. My priorities in life are.....Christ, my Savior, my husband, my two grown children and my four grandchildren. That's me in a nutshell!
Lovely photo of the Lunar Moth. At least that is what I think it is. For the question about butterfly bushes. Yes, they really do attract butterflies. I have had one for two years now and they are a perennial bush. I did this in my garage where I used to go to smoke in the winter. I am smoke free now and it worked with the residual smell in the garage. It doesn't get cheaper than that! ... View related article.
I am not sure why you would ever want to! No insult intended just don't risk your health for a strange concoction. Keep alcohol for disinfecting wounds and the Lysol for cleaning. That's my advice. ... View related article.
The oil furnace man spilled kerosene on my carpet inside when fixing our furnace and I was sicken by the smell it was so bad. I kept sprinkling a lot of baking soda on the spots and then vaccuming it up and applying new as soon as it had absorbed all it could. I blotted the area first to get all the excess I could, which wasn't much. The baking soda that I first applied actually changed to a dingy color and I left it only a few hours before removing that and putting down new. Be generous with the baking soda. It is a cheap and wonderful fix! ... View related article.
Actually, I thought it was ground coffee...not instant, but the regular ground up coffee. The beans don't have as pungent of smell. I have tried the dish of vinegar before after someone came to visit and smoked in my house. It worked amazingly well. ... View related article.
