The chair was a prop...I never get used to seeing Mt Hood and it's majesty. In the car driving to Hood River, you have Mt Hood in front and Mt Adams in the side mirror! OR has it all - mountains, desert, the coast, the Columbia Gorge -- you wonder what Lewis & Clark thought when they arrived. I live in Camas, WA (across the river from Portland) and wake up to Mt St Helens every morning. We are in the city but you still can hear the coyotes at night and deer are everywhere...the PacNW has it all going on...cj in camas, wa ... View related article. |

| RE: Use Credit Cards for All Purchases and Earn Cash Back |
We do the same thing however, our card of choice earns airline miles...travel is important to us.. The only thing that is problematic about this is that many people are so far in credit card debt that they may never recover -- plus I always insure what my interest is, only keep a Visa & MC plus my bank debit card -- I never use a credit card to get cash because of the usery laws but I have moved across country (12K)), purchased an automobile, etc...and actually the credit card companies consider "pay balance monthly people" less than desirable - I probably get a minimum of 2 new cc approved applications per week -- into the shredder they go..I enjoy using someone else's money to earn rewards. But I dont recommend it for everyone...cj in Camas ... View related article. |

| RE: Saving Money on Tea |
My fav is Tazo Passion teas - somewhat spendy but very strong. When I see tea on sale, I buy it -- I am still drinking a Celestial Christmas tea and it's mid-summer here. During the dreary winter days, hot tea hits the spot & I live one ice tea in summer..I like to cold steep my ice tea. I also use Starbucks orange syrup (6.00 for huge bottle) w/ Passion iced tea - much better & much cheaper than their Passion w/ lemonade cj in camas, wa ... View related article. |

| RE: Uses for Recycled Glass Jars |
I love jars but am not much of a crafter -- whenever I paint or have painting done -- I always put the leftover paint w/ the color/make/date. I use a q-tip for minor touchups & a foam brush for largers ones. I also use jars to start cuttings for friends - "pass along plants" -- right now I have some mini rhodi's going...use gravel in bottom, soil w/ some additives (sand/pumice) & good old Rootone - I put them in a sunny window & watch them take root - we also drink iced tea out of them! I usually buy mine @ the Goodwill ..cj in camas, wa ... View related article. |

| RE: How Do I Get Rid of that Fried Smell after Cooking? |
I saturate a tiny clay pot w/ essential oil - a stong one like clove, spearmint - keep it on a counter -- I re-oil it about every 2-3 weeks,,,since it's so small it doesnt take much oil. I also have an plug oil diffuser (Body Shop & usually Wild Oats) - if it's itense, I just put my oil of choice on the diffuser pad & plug it in...they are wonderful -- I dont like the sprays but have been using oils for years..cj in camas wa ...
