| RE: Appropriate Tip For Waitress at Sports Bar |
Before I became disabled I was a waitress and when I went out on my night off I followed the rule of what tIip means to insure prompt service, but now I go more on how they treat me. Like we had a business meeting that was going to last 1 hour and everyone was laying down a dollar. We had been there 3 hours instead I told them she could have seated people in that space about 4 times and they best come forth with bigger tips she ended up with $20. because a waitress makes her living from her tips not what the restaurant pays. ... | RE: Using Leftover Soap Pieces |
I chip them up and add a little hot water, then I add a few drops of essence oils to add a nice smell. I pour them into different shaped molds and let air dry, and when dry enough to remove from molds I lay them out to dry for about a week to make sure they dry all the way inside. Then I have soap that sells in shops for upwards of 7 dollars and more a bar. I even have my friends saving me their soap bits for this. Or you could just dissolve them into a bottle of water and have liquid hand soap. ... View related article. |

If you are doing it all in one color, and if you are making throw pillows to go on it, you could make your welt cord a different color to match the pillows. One of the nicest ones we did was for a lady with kids, so we did it in denim and trimmed it with red bandanna and made pillows to match the trim. She paid for the sofa and chair and we made the pillows free because we knew she didn't have a lot of money. But you would be surprised how that little thing can make a big difference. ... | RE: White Lint All Over Dark Laundry |
Run the clothes through the rinse cycle with vinegar, in the water use cold. I would divide the load in half to have more room for the water to get around the clothes. Then if at all possible line dry them, or if not, dry them and on the last few minutes use the fluff cycle. This should take away most of the lint. Then what little is left, I roll duct tape around my hand with the sticky side out and use like a giant size lint brush. ... View related article. |

| RE: Deviled Eggs for Halloween |
I am doing blood shot eyes when I boil the eggs. I pour off the hot water then roll the eggs against the pot kind of hard to crack them at odd places then I add red food coloring to the water but I use warm water and let them set for about 30 minutes then I but them in into clean cold water for easier peeling and I use the little sweet pickles sliced real thin on some and olives on others. I take roasted red peppers and slice them super thin to lay across the yolk mix up to the pupil part for that really blood shot effect. Debbie ... View related article. |
